About

Art is Everywhere

Lanzarote has a rough, volcanic, barren landscape which reminds me so much of Africa. It has the feel of the Kalahari, the Wild Coast and the Western Cape all wrapped up in one small island.  The tenacity of the farmers, getting crops to grow against all odds and eking out a living from the lava fields, is both a miracle and an inspiration.

Walking along the rugged coastline and the endless beaches, I started collecting wood, glass and any other materials discarded by the ocean and transforming them into sculptures. The recycled feel of battered fishing boats, washed up in pieces, and put together again as a memory of what was, appealed to me.

Work with

• Sea glass

• Found objects

I have created in-situ sculptures directly onto outside walls in:

Shop policies

Last updated on June 10, 2012
Welcome to my world of found art, where I display (and sell) the things I've made from the objects I find on the beach and in the trash heaps near my house in Lanzarote. What other people discard, I find and try to give new life, a process I find fascinating and very rewarding. I hope you will enjoy the metamorphosis of these found objects as amazing as I did!

Shipping
Some of my artwork is very fragile, I pack them for shipping with great care. I also only spend part of the year in Lanzarote, so my son (who lives there full time) will post any orders made in my absence. Because of these complicating factors, please bear in mind that it might take up to a week before we can send your purchase on its way.

If for some reason assembly is required on the other end, I will be sure to include detailed instructions. Shipping times will vary depending on where you live and the size of the object you've ordered, but where possible a tracking number will be provided.

If needed I can also provide shipping insurance – just let me know in a private message or e-mail and I will calculate the additional cost for you.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the size and type of art I create, and the fact that I essentially run this shop all by myself, I'm afraid I can't offer refunds at the moment. If you are unsatisfied with what you have purchased (or if by some small chance it is damaged during transit), please don't hesitate to send me a message and I will do my very best to sort it all out and/or compensate you in whatever way I can.
Additional policies and FAQs
I'm more than happy to create custom orders, and have already done so on multiple occasions in the past.
