Über Tokioter Kunsthandwerker
About Tokyo Artisans

Tokyo Artisans is a Japan-based shop dedicated to collectible dolls, miniature fashion, and craftsmanship.
Our collection centers on clothing, accessories, OOAK kimono, and one-of-a-kind art dolls created for collectors who appreciate detail, proportion, materials, and design.
Our story began with doll artistry. Through years of working with and collecting dolls, we became increasingly fascinated by the challenge of translating full-scale fashion, traditional dress, and historical aesthetics into miniature form. A beautiful doll garment is not simply a smaller piece of clothing — its silhouette, fabric weight, construction, finishing, and relationship to the doll all matter.
Japan remains an important part of our identity. We introduce miniature kimono, wagasa parasols, folding fans, and other doll-scale pieces made in Japan, including works created using traditional materials and techniques. These pieces bring the craftsmanship of Japanese dress and decorative arts into the world of collectible dolls.
At the same time, Tokyo Artisans is not limited to one country or one style. We collaborate with skilled artisans and makers in different parts of the world to develop new clothing and accessories for fashion dolls. Each piece is carefully considered through a fashion-focused eye — from silhouette and proportion to fabric, color, construction, and finishing.
Our collection ranges from Japanese kimono and traditional accessories to couture-inspired dresses, historical styles, contemporary fashion, and original OOAK creations.
Alongside doll fashion, we occasionally introduce selected Japanese crafts and vintage objects that share the same appreciation for materials, workmanship, and lasting beauty.
We hope to create a collection where doll fashion is treated with the same care, individuality, and aesthetic standards as fashion itself — pieces made to be enjoyed, styled, photographed, collected, and treasured.
