TokyoManhattan's Shop Announcement

Happy Holidays!

The fall faded quickly to winter. Tomato vines were hastily pulled and composted, the berry bushes trimmed down to their quick and our mushroom hunting became less fruitful. We are still enjoying the fall's harvest of Chicken of the Woods mushrooms and have seen a few oyster mushrooms around, even with the cold.

With the world dying back to a wintery calm outside, we have put even more effort into creating useful, beautiful products with which to adorn your life. Notice that we've continued to build our stock of unique and handsome fabrics. Our selection of bags and accessories is at an all-time high. As always, we welcome custom orders, your thoughts, your criticisms and your best jokes.

The season has us craving kim chi, kombucha and raw seafood. We dream of taut Northeastern and Chincoteague oysters dressed with absolutely nothing. We hunger for freshly-split sea urchin served over sushi rice with artisinal soy sauce or with sourdough bread and cultured butter. We lust for the fresh brook trout eggs that we will harvest in the Spring and make quickly into caviar. And, ramps. We are dying for crisply fried ramp leaves with sea salt that shatter in the mouth. And, we so want to find a fine goose for our table who has never spent time in a freezer.

Thanks for your patronage.
