Lorren Mae è nata nel 2008 come TomDesign, uno sfogo creativo durante il periodo in cui mi dedicavo alla crescita dei nostri figli piccoli. Prima di diventare mamma a tempo pieno, insegnavo arte alle elementari e adoravo poter tornare a creare. Quello che è iniziato con pochi strumenti e un piccolo negozio su Etsy è cresciuto lentamente, man mano che scoprivo quanto potessero essere significativi i gioielli personalizzati, piccoli oggetti che racchiudono nomi, ricordi, traguardi e le persone che amiamo.
Quella che era iniziata come un'attività gestita da una sola persona si è trasformata in un'impresa familiare. Nel 2015, mio marito Mark ha lasciato la sua carriera di avvocato per unirsi a me a tempo pieno (i nostri amici e parenti pensavano fossimo un po' pazzi!). Oggi lavoriamo fianco a fianco nel nostro studio nello Utah meridionale con un team straordinario che ci aiuta a dare vita a ogni pezzo.
Nel corso degli anni, il nostro negozio si è evoluto da semplici creazioni personalizzate a una collezione di gioielli con calligrafia, gioielli con pietre portafortuna e per la famiglia, ricordi commemorativi, pezzi incisi, gioielli per tutti i giorni e gioielli di alta qualità. Lavoriamo con materiali che spaziano dall'argento sterling e dall'oro 14 carati placcato all'oro massiccio, all'acciaio inossidabile e al titanio di grado implantare, e molti dei nostri gioielli personalizzati vengono incisi direttamente nel nostro studio.
Nel 2025, dopo quasi 18 anni come TomDesign, sapevamo che era giunto il momento di far crescere il nostro nome. Siamo diventati Lorren Mae, un nome legato alla nostra famiglia e che rappresenta al meglio i gioielli che creiamo oggi e la direzione che vogliamo intraprendere. Il nome è nuovo, ma siamo sempre la stessa famiglia, lo stesso team e la stessa piccola impresa che crea gioielli su Etsy dal 2008.
Lungo il percorso, siamo stati incredibilmente grati di poter celebrare alcuni traguardi straordinari:
• Oltre 500.000 vendite su Etsy
• Decine di migliaia di recensioni a 5 stelle
• Nominato tra i 10 migliori negozi di gioielli su Etsy negli Stati Uniti
• Apparso al Today Show e in televisione qui nello Utah
• Abbiamo creato uno studio e un team che non avremmo mai potuto immaginare quando abbiamo iniziato
• E nel frattempo ho cresciuto tre figlie che, per fortuna, amano tutte i gioielli come me!
Dopo tutti questi anni, la cosa che ci dà più soddisfazione è sapere che qualcosa che abbiamo creato può avere un significato così profondo per qualcun altro. La calligrafia di un bambino, la firma di una persona cara, le pietre portafortuna di un'intera famiglia o semplicemente un oggetto che entra a far parte della vita quotidiana di qualcuno: ecco perché continuiamo a creare.
Grazie per aver sostenuto la nostra azienda di famiglia negli ultimi 18 anni e per aver intrapreso con noi questo nuovo capitolo come Lorren Mae. Significa davvero moltissimo per noi.

Lorren Mae began in 2008 as TomDesign, a creative outlet while I was home raising our young kids. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I was an elementary art teacher, and I loved having a way to create again. What started with a few tools and a small Etsy shop slowly grew as I discovered how meaningful personalized jewelry could be, little pieces that hold names, memories, milestones, and the people we love.
What began as a one-woman shop eventually became a family business. In 2015, my husband Mark left his career as an attorney to join me full-time (our friends and family thought we were a little crazy!). Today, we work side-by-side in our Southern Utah studio with an amazing team that helps bring each piece to life.
Over the years, our shop has grown from simple personalized designs into a collection of handwriting jewelry, birthstone and family jewelry, memorial keepsakes, engraved pieces, everyday jewelry, and fine jewelry. We work with materials ranging from sterling silver and 14k gold filled to solid gold, stainless steel, and implant-grade titanium, with much of our personalized jewelry engraved right here in our studio.
In 2025, after nearly 18 years as TomDesign, we knew it was time for our name to grow with us. We became Lorren Mae, a name with ties to our own family and one that better represents the jewelry we create today and where we're headed next. The name is new, but we're still the same family, team, and small business that has been creating jewelry on Etsy since 2008.
Along the way, we’ve been incredibly grateful to celebrate some amazing milestones:

• Named one of the Top 10 Jewelry Shops on Etsy in the US
• Featured on the Today Show and on television here in Utah
• Built a studio and team we never could have imagined when we started
• And raised three girls along the way, who thankfully, all love jewelry too!
After all these years, our favorite part is still knowing that something we made can hold so much meaning for someone else. A child's handwriting, a loved one's signature, the birthstones of an entire family, or simply a piece that becomes part of someone's everyday life, that's why we keep creating.
