My sister and I purchased the Baker Park watercolor painting as a Christmas present for our mother who just moved from Frederick, MD to South Carolina. Having raised our family in Frederick, mom had a very difficult time saying goodbye and has struggled with homesickness since. Tom's painting of our local downtown park where we watched countless fireworks and danced to live music at city celebrations, brought her to tears. Tom's artwork brought a small, but powerful piece of home to her next chapter in the south.
