The mounted print was shipped very quickly! The March Hare piece is beautiful- so unique and quirky. Everything about the transaction was handled very professionally. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I wouldn't hesitate to order art from Tom Sarmo again!

It is all what I expected it to be. Just love it. Picture of bird in top hat is wonderful, with a nice finish. Nice frame, ready to hang or stand on its own. All in all, money well spend.

Super awesome incredible!!! That's just about the artist himself and the piece is equally as great - hope that this is the first of several pieces of Tom's art that I will have in my collection.

Entomologist; a little Victorian bug collector!

In My Head

Most of the art I make comes from the pics that float around in my head. My main occupation is to making them concrete, real, and viewable by others.

I chase down ideas and resources to help me paint, sculpt, or illustrate the visions. My brain is always churning away on that. I tend to seem lost quite a bit as a result, but...

the Cranky Bird Studio is where I pull it together. It's a storeroom of resources and materials, and a workspace of surfaces--as many as I can cram into that small area. I spend most days there making the imaginary tangible.

Hello there-- I'm Tom

I work in The Cranky Bird Studio (along with a few cranky birds), but am not at all cranky myself. I just have a great time making any offbeat works of art that happen to cross my mind.

I've been a professional illustrator and artist since 1986. It's a blast putting the goofy pics in my head onto a surface, and knowing that someone else gets a kick out of living with them.
