My name comes from the Tarascan language of Purepecha, an indigenous tribe that ruled the territory of Michoacán. I grew up visiting vibrant and awe-inspiring towns around Mexico, towns that offer experiences like no other. Places where history and legends took place that gave cultural honor. For some it is a choice, for me it is a feeling of curiosity that moves you to indulge in life’s greatest gifts. The discovery of nature along with a playful soul, delivers happiness to the ones amongst us. After all, Mexico is a country that blesses us with the opportunity to wander the beauty of life freely.
I am proud of my culture and heritage. I have experienced celebrating beautiful moments with my family in traditions that still inspire me. I believe that respect, compassion, and patience are qualities we all must learn to cultivate, not just for other humans but for nature as well. The passion of sharing my culture with others has inspired me to create a collection of leather handbags, handcrafted by Mexican artisans. Truth about Leather
FULL GRAIN LEATHER is the first layer that is split off the rawhide.It is the Highest Quality Grade of Leather and the part that is the most dense and durable since it actually had to protect the animal from all the elements. This part of the leather will develop a beautiful patina over time and it will only become more beautiful with age. Full grain has natural characteristics that provide a unique, one-of-a-kind look. Hand Braiding can only be done with Full Grain Leather, other Leather is not strong enough. Hand Tooling with Full Grain Leather enhances the Ancient Artisanal Craftsmanship.
