About

The magic began when...

I learned to sew.
Or when I became addicted to fabric.
Or when I had my daughter, the original Tootie Bug.

In 2011, the Tootie Bugs label and shop were created after my supportive family and friends convinced me that the world needed what I had to offer. I enjoy picking out patterns & pretty fabrics and using them to create something beautiful/functional that won't break your budget. We offer a wide variety of items, however, our most desirable creations have been children's clothes, baby gifts, camera strap covers, and our flirty retro apron. We like to use vintage patterns when possible to provide you with an item reminiscent of simpler times but with the flair of modern textiles. I prefer to use only the best quality fabrics so that your item will last for many years and hold up to the wash and wear a favored item receives. I make everything myself right here in Texas, no mass production or out of area manufacturing.

I have come back to my roots and the skill I was taught early on. I learned from my mom and granny while living a simple country life, only to find myself back in that place many years later.

Additional policies and FAQs
Rest assured that if something is wrong with your order (i.e. my mistake, not yours) I will do everything I can to make it right. So much so that you will hope I mess up again. It's just that simple, I want you to love what you bought.

Please give me all the information possible up front about your order. Measurements of the chest/waist, weight of the child, fabric choices, colors for thread, if it is for a boy or girl, and fonts for personalization are all very important. I am not a mind reader. I won't always know that your Taylor is a boy and not a girl. And if you have questions, ask away. An educated shopper is a happy one!
