Frequently asked questions
Do you offer engraving?
I do not currently offer ring engraving. However, some items over 3mm can be hand-stamped. Contact me for details.
Ring Sizing
If you are unsure of your size, I recommend popping into any local jewelry store - they can size you quickly and accurately.
Ring Re-Sizing - If you order a ring in the wrong size there will be a resizing fee which varies depending on the metal and how complicated the ring is. I don't keep lots of rings on hand as the majority of rings are made in your size when you order.
Please note that when having an item resized, you are responsible for it reaching me safely. I cannot be responsible for items I did not mail.
Oxidation FAQ
What is oxidized silver?
Oxidation is a natural process wherein sterling silver reacts with the air to darken the silver. I speed up the process using a product called Liver of Sulfur.
The oxidized finish is a surface treatment that is not permanent ; it will gradually lighten and fade away, exposing the silver. This process varies in time depending on the level of wear.
If you'd like to re-oxidize your item to refresh the finish, you can purchase liver of sulfur online. You can also find a tutorial online that uses egg yolks to achieve the same effect.
Can you use my own gemstone / ring to make something new?
So sorry, but I don’t work with customer-provided gemstones or metals. I also don’t do repairs to jewelry created by other shops or makers.
