I've been selling online since 2000. I began metalworking and assembly for my Dad's business growing up. I learned stone setting, silversmithing, soldering, and welding, so that I could create custom jewelry and make rings in all different sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions & Helpful Information

All rings are sized and measured on a steel ring mandrel, calibrated to jewelry industry standard sizing for accuracy. Ring size is a standardized unit of measure converting the circumference of your finger to an equivalent number or letter. For example, a US size 6.25 ring = 52.5mm in inside circumference. Our rings are precisely measured and sized to your exact specification including 1/2 and 1/4 sizes. 1/8 sizes available upon request.

You can have your ring size taken at most jewelry stores, even the jewelry counter at Walmart. If you don't have a jewelry store nearby, here are some methods for finding your ring size, courtesy of

We can also send you a free ring sizer (in the US) in the mail to verify your ring size after you've placed an order. Just leave us a note at checkout requesting one. We're unable to size rings down once they've been made, so please be sure of your ring size when you order.

People often ask if their jewelry will stay looking beautiful. The answer is absolutely yes, with some basic cleaning and care. Fortunately sterling silver and cubic zirconia are very easy to keep clean and shiny with products that can be purchased at local stores. Here are the main products we use and love:

Connoisseurs Precious Jewelry Cleaner - - We've used this product successfully for many years for quick cleaning of both stones and silver. It does a great job making the stones sparkly clean. Very fast and convenient, we keep this product on our bathroom sink and pop jewelry into it once a week or so. This product can be found in the jewelry section at Walmart and many drug stores and grocery stores.

Connoisseurs Jewelry Wipes Compact - - These are incredible! These easy to use, disposable wipes, clean your jewelry and leave an anti-tarnish coating. They come in a convenient compact case. They can be found in the jewelry section at Walmart as well.

3M Tarni-Shield Silver Polish - - This is an amazing silver polish and tarnish inhibitor! It's very easy to use, makes your silver super shiny, and adds a protective anti-tarnish coating. This is not something you have to use often, but if you feel like your silver is looking a little dull, or you get your ring wet frequently and want to prevent tarnish, using this product will give fantastic results.

A cotton swab can be very helpful for cleaning the hard to reach areas. Especially the ones with pointed tip like these -

All of the products listed are stone safe. As always, rub gently, and make sure to wash away all of the polish when you're finished to see the maximum sparkle and shine.

Things to avoid while wearing your silver: Chlorine and pool chemicals, swimming, showering, bleach, household cleaners and chemicals. Always keep your silver clean and dry and free of hand lotions, perfume, hair products, body oils, makeup, etc.

Try to follow the "Last On - First Off" jewelry rule, especially with rings. Make your jewelry the last thing you put on before you leave the house - after showering, applying lotion, hair products, perfume, etc., and the first thing you take off when you get home, particularly if you're doing housework, dishes, gardening, or anything that could potentially cause damage.

Even if your silver gets tarnished or discolored....don't panic! The beauty of unplated sterling silver is that it can always be cleaned, buffed, and polished backed to a magnificent shine!

As with any handmade jewelry, wear with care, be gentle, and be sensible. :)

Can you send more pictures and hand shots? Since every piece is made to order, we don't have each item made up and available to take pictures. We do our best to provide 5 good, large, clear photos from multiple angles in every listing, and we're constantly updating listings to add hand shots as well. We have many more product photos on our website See our blog post for comparison photos and hand shots: or our Pinterest board:

What is Argentium Silver? From Wikipedia: Argentium Sterling silver is a modern sterling silver alloy which modifies the traditional alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) by replacing some of the copper with the metalloid germanium. As it contains at least 92.5% silver content of the traditional alloy, it is still referred to as sterling silver. You can read and learn more at

Are your pieces rhodium plated? No. All of the items we sell are made with pure, unplated, 925 sterling silver or Argentium sterling silver. We do not do any electroplating, or use any plated metals, silver filled metals, etc.

Does your silver contain nickel? No. All of our silver jewelry is created from, pure, unplated, .925 sterling silver, or Argentium sterling silver, which are both nickle free alloys.

Do you do engraving? No, but we do file and polish the inside of the bands nice and smooth so your ring could be engraved by someone else.

Will any of the solitaires sit flush with a wedding band? The only setting style we currently have that sits flush with a band is the cathedral which you can see here: The largest stone size that can be set in the cathedral setting is 7.5mm Round and 7mm Asscher.

Can the classic 6 prong setting can be made with larger stones? Unfortunately the largest stone that can fit in the 6 prong setting is a 7mm/1.28 carat round which can be found here: - We have a new, thicker 6 prong setting that can hold larger stones. It can be seen here -

Do your make custom settings or cast from wax molds? No, not at this time.

Can you make certain ring with a thinner or thicker band, or make a .925 sterling silver ring in Argentium silver, etc? Unfortunately we are unable to do this since we do not manufacture the settings, and are limited to the settings available from our suppliers. The exception is plain wedding bands, because we do create these from stock silver wire.

Do you set stones sent in to you, or set your stones with a setting sent in to you? At this time, we are not working with materials sent to us from buyers, but may do this at some point in the future.

Do you sell loose stones or empty settings? No. We do not sell loose stones, empty settings, or any supplies. We only sell finished pieces.

Do you sell eternity or half eternity bands? No, not at this time.

Do you offer any sort of trade-ins, upgrades, buy-backs, stone swaps, etc.? No. For pieces you no longer wear, we recommend listing them on which is an excellent site for buying and selling pre-loved jewelry.

Can Sterling or Argentium Sterling Silver turn your finger green or other colors? Yes. It is very rare, but it can happen. Statistics say 2-3% of people have skin chemistry that causes sterling silver alloys to turn their skin colors, but in our experience it has been less than 1%. If you have experienced this issue or have concerns, please read the information below about how sterling silver alloys can cause temporary skin discoloration, prevention, and possible solutions.

Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by mass of silver and 7.5% by mass of other metals, usually copper, or germanium for argentium silver. (Source: There can be quite a bit of variance from manufacturer to manufacturer in that other 7.5% and that is why one sterling silver ring may cause a reaction while another does not.

When sterling silver tarnishes, the jewelry turns black, which can then rub off on skin and cause black discoloration. People with moist skin may also notice green discoloration. To avoid discoloration caused by tarnishing, polish your jewelry regularly with a silver polishing cloth or silver cleaner, and always be sure to keep your jewelry clean and dry. Here is more information from

Here is some great information about the chemical reaction that can cause skin to turn green/colors in a small percentage of people, and some possible solutions, courtesy of the seller CoolRings on eBay:

"Silver is Beautiful, however pure silver is too soft and can easily scratch and become damaged, so it is alloyed with copper to make Sterling Silver (92.5% silver+7.5% copper). this is how we get the mark 925 for sterling silver.

Don't panic, This "green finger effect" is a reaction to the copper alloy in the sterling silver specially if you have high body acidity . It happens to about 2-3% of people and percentage is increasing due to increased percentages of chemicals in our environment and food we eat.

Sometimes these reactions are occasional and happens when someone eats something that has high acidity like tomatoes, if someone is taking certain medications, or due to excitement.

Mass produced retail store jewelry is often plated with rhodium (rhodium is a form or platinum), which prevents this reaction from happening to anyone with the allergy. Not all silver rings are plated. All of the items we sell are made with pure, unplated, 925 sterling silver or Argentium sterling silver. We do not do any electroplating, or use any plated metals, silver filled metals, etc.

*Soaking the ring for a day or two in a 50/50 mixture of household ammonia and water will take care of the problem.

*Another solution is to simply clean the ring every day with a silver polishing cloth . After about a week or two, the reaction will stop occurring

* Also applying a thin layer of clear nail polish on the inside of the ring will prevent perspiration & body sweat from reaching the metal and reacting to it.

*Keep your skin dry when wearing jewelry. Remove ring before showering, sleeping, exercising, strenuous activities, or using cleaning products.

*Keep your jewelry clean. If the piece begins to tarnish, clean it immediately.

All of the ring settings we use have some sort of silver stamping, but during sizing, polishing, or soldering, the marking may be partially or completely removed, covered, or filed off. This does not mean your ring is not pure sterling silver, and if you have any concerns you are welcome to have the ring tested to ensure that it is sterling silver. If the stamping is very important to you, please let us know and we will do our best to work around the stamped area during sizing and polishing.

All stone set items are tested before shipping to ensure that the stone is completely secure and will not fall out on its own. If you're very active, or need a stronger setting, we recommend the Argentium settings. They are harder and more substantial settings than some of the thin, dainty sterling settings, and the stone sits lower, with thicker, more protective prongs. Click here to view our Argentium collection - As with any handmade jewelry, wear with care, be gentle, and be sensible. :)

Custom order pricing and availability: We will hold materials and honor pricing for a custom order for 30 days. After 30 days, we cannot guarantee the materials (stone, setting, silver wire stock, chain, etc.) will still be available to create your piece, or that the piece can be created for the same price.

Promotional codes may be applied to all non-custom silver items. Custom orders and white gold pieces are not eligible for any discounts.

Due to the handmade nature of our jewelry, each individual piece may have slight variations. We do our absolute best and most meticulous work on every piece we create and strive to make everything look as pristine as humanly possible. We think you'll love the quality of our work and our personal touch that goes along with it, but we understand that handmade isn't for everyone, and offer no hassle, no fee returns.
