Announcement
It’s the 20th anniversary of TRAMP LAMPS !
Long ago, in 2003,
I made my first one of a kind Lamp
Her name was Petunia.
Then I designed & launched my website
www.Tramplamps.com,
and within 6 months , it became my full time job.
This was 20 years ago.
In 2003, since Etsy didn’t exist. So I made my way on my own through my website:
So, those first few years, the way I did my sales consisted of a lot of emails back & forth between me and my customers.
We had some great conversations, it just about the sales, but about what music we were listening to, what movies we liked,
and what Zines we were reading, ( oxo Hillary @ Bejeezus! & being the editors pick @ Bust magazine!)
and chatting about other online shops we were interested in.
Because getting a feature in any of those could be great, and being part of those online networks was Huge!
(Big shout out to the J.Perkins & all them womens of the Austin Craft Mafia!
& my insane 40+hour no sleep flight/booth I had at Stitch! That year in, when 05?)
I am forever grateful to the partnerships I had in the early 2000s,
with all the small independently owned boutiques around the country as well as those I also made with international shoppes, who were so kind to me and featured me in their local galleries, placed my lamps inside their bars, social clubs, made them part of their cabaret acts, and made them permanent features inside their brick & mortar stores.
I finally opened up my Etsy shop in the spring of 2007, and quickly had my first sale in May of that year.
It’s wonderful to be able to go back through All the archives of sales and see how many lamps I have made since then, as well as strange odd small artwork I had the whims to craft and that you had the kindness to purchase.
I still offer digital downloads of my prints, but I do have plans to reopen the physical collection of my prints for shipping very soon.
So look for those later in the year.
There are some new features when you order a Tramplamps :
I've been in my studio most of the year, and the results are
ALL new Tramp Lamps!
I now offer Standard size Cords & LED Bulbs!
ALL downloadable Digital Prints are still 10$
My Website is:
https://tramplamps.com
It includes a vast Photographic Library of my Lamp Archive
from 2003-Until Present day that, I hope, is much easier
and more pleasing for someone to scroll through than the former Archives
of +1700 Hand Made Lamps.
You can find A Gallery of my Original Artwork:
https://tramplamps.com/photos
This image collection (linked above) will hopefully serve as a reference guide
to any of you who are perhaps looking for a particular Painting in print form
that you would like to purchase as a large scale digital download.
I am happy to help make that happen for you.
Right now, getting my artwork out to you in an affordable form is something that I want to make happen for you, but I want it to be done safety, and as easily as I can, and this way, you know you are getting it from the artist herself, which should be a fun and cool thing, right?
About Tramp Lamps:
I crafted my first Tramp Lamp in 2003. I knew it was something unique and had great potential for me creatively. I researched the idea thoroughly to be certain I was not copying someone else's process or concept.*
Once I was certain that nothing like it had been made before, I proceeded with the development and launched my website with a small collection of lamps that were all one of a kind. They sold out within the first 2 weeks.
As you are reading this, I've made well over 1500+ unique Lamps.
You can many of the lamps I made and sold over the years on the new photos page of my redesigned website gallery here:
https://tramplamps.com/photos
I have had the good fortune to be endorsed by founders of major lingerie companies, as well as complemented by the Heiress of a legendary American undergarment empire that was named after her when she was just a baby.
PLEASE, KEEP IT UNIQUE.
If you see anyone else making anything that even closely resembles my Tramp Lamps in any way, please let them know about www.TrampLamps.com
In 2003, Before I made anything, I did a lot of research.
I never wanted to infringe on the artistic footprint of anyone when I began making my first lamp.
And neither would any of you. And like you, you’d want to stop someone from listing an item here, or online anywhere else that you knew was a blatant ethical infringement of someone’s artistic creation, regardless if they claimed they were aware of it, or not. It’s important that we make them aware of it, but like any good artist, they should do the research themselves before they just go into a creative endeavor, believing blindly, that they are the only person in the world who has a concept for a artistic creation.
This is why it’s important for people to understand how well they research their influences.
Therefore, if you, or you find someone making something even remotely similar to that which resembles Tramplamps™️, which has now been online for 20 years, and easy to find, highly visible, be it by image searching or other by keyword alone, and if anyone is till having a hard time has any further questions about about the product, and the process, of TrampLamps, I am available.
Even after all these years, I still love finding antique, Vintage, and used garments to alter, illuminate, and decorate for lighting to sell all over the Earth. I really hope that If you were to find one of my creations perfect for your decor, that you would feel the same way.
I love making TRAMP LAMPS and I love making art.
This is my full time job; I make it, I pack it, and I stand in line at the post to ship it.
I want you to love it & to be happy with it.
Shipping Information:
*The time between the printing of all international and domestic shipping labels and when it is 1st scanned by a courier are not simultaneous. Please keep this in mind when receiving my shipping notices through Etsy and tracking info on 3rd party websites such as fedex.com.
~ Remember, when you purchase from my shop, you are supporting me as an Artist and a person, just like you. There are no employees, and there is no Tramp Lamps machine, it is and has always been just Me. This is my full-time job & how I support myself.
I thank you so very much!
xoxo
~Kelly

5 out of 5 starsThis was a great experience - Kelly was easy to work with and was very patient and forthcoming with all of my requests for this custom project. She even threw in some of her awesome artwork, too! My friend was so excited and thrilled to receive this Wonder Woman lamp for her birthday! I struggled with a good way to wrap it, and ended up settling for a Wonder Woman cape draped around it, which I think worked very well (if not over-themed, ha!). Thank you so much, Kelly - you’re awesome!
