About

When Hobby becomes Habit

A few years back my interest in crochet exploded when I realized I could apply that basic ceramic working "pinch pot method" to create amigurumi style pieces. As a self taught fiber artist I do not use patterns but often write my own once I've decided upon a new design and don't want to chance losing any important details to memory. I make things I like, things I think should exist, and hopefully things you cannot live without!

"Yarning" as I like to call it is a compulsion for me nowadays. Not a day goes by that I'm not working on a project or starting yet another piece to finish at a later date. My home itself resembles a little shop with collections of toys and accessories filling bookcases and endless storage totes.

There's nothing more inspiring than to be surrounded by your accomplishments as you create even more special pieces. Lovingly I refer to myself as a Yarn Addict, but it's really only a natural side effect when Hobby becomes Habit.

Additional policies and FAQs
So if you see something but wish it was a different color no problem! A little bigger you got it! Multiples can even be requested! Just start a conversation with me and we'll work out the details. :)

To avoid issues with dye lots and ensure the acrylic yarn I use is a good, soft material I stick to Caron's One Pound skeins. For bright colors I do use some Red Heart, but it's usually for smaller details.

All these goodies are made with acrylic yarn and polyfil so you know they are hypoallergenic! They can be gently hand washed with mild soap; washing machines can to be a little too aggressive for some crochet goodies (gentle cycle is ok, just not too frequently...) but the dryer is a real no-no!
