Treasures from a Simpler Time
I am a self taught primitive folk artist and addicted antique picker. I live in a small town in Northern Michigan with my wonderful husband and teenage son.
I'm drawn to the rustic, weathered, worn, imperfect pieces of history. I love the everyday necessities people used in their daily lives. There is something about an antique and wondering about the untold story of each piece. Each stain, dent or ding that time has created, is what gives each treasure its charm.
My handmade primitive folk art comes from a love of old time worn antiques from when times were simpler. I take great care and time with each handmade that I create so that you will have a unique treasure made with love. All of my folk art is my own creation and design.
I hope you enjoy your visit to my shop and that you find unique treasures to warm your home.

Welcome to Treasured Primitives. My name is Jennifer and I am so glad you stopped in. All primitive handmades are my own design and creation that I make in my Northern Michigan home that was built in the late 1800's. I love to create treasures that have old time appeal. I also have a love of hunting for old antique and vintage treasures that speak to my old soul and to help them find their new home with my wonderful customers. My home in a smoke free, pet free home. Everything that is listed is already made and ready to ship.
*** To all my wonderful customers I want you to know how much I appreciate you. It saddens me with the new Etsy review system that I will no longer be able to leave you feedback under their new system. I really strive for you to have a 5 star experience shopping at Treasured Primitives and I hope you will be thrilled with your purchases. I would greatly appreciate if you would take the time to leave a review for me, as it is those reviews (feedback), that greatly affects the success of my shop. Thank you so much and let me know if I can be of help in anyway.
Accepted payment methods

I except Paypal, credit cards through Etsy, and U.S.P.S money orders. I usually try to mail out purchases on the same day as the sale if time allows. Otherwise Items will be shipped with in 1-2 business days after receiving and clearing payment. (Please note if holiday disrupts mailing, shipping times could be longer) and my estimates of delivery is just that, an estimate, as hiccups can take place with USPS that are out of my control for arrival deadlines.
** Michigan residents please note I will be collecting Michigan sales tax (6%)
SHIPPING is ESTIMATED, usually for furthest destination within the United States from Northern Michigan and may be less then what is shown. With Paypal and credit card payments I will return any excess shipping fees over $2.00 back to your account, including combined shipping overages. Please be sure to see my shop policies before purchasing.
Please feel free to Convo me with any questions you may have or if you would like a shipping quote. Just convo me your zip code and what items your interested in. Thank you and a wonderful day !
I ship with USPS (first class, priority mail, or USPS Retail Ground ( parcel post)(standard post) for large or heavy items. Please know that Parcel post can take up to a few weeks in some cases to arrive but usually 7-12 business days). The reason I use parcel post on heavy or large packages is to keep the shipping down for my customers. Please know that shipping is estimated and that with Paypal and credit card payments I will return any excess shipping fees over $2.00 to your Paypal or credit card account. I will do my best to combine shipping but there may be cases where items may not be able to ship together due to needs of packaging. There may be cases where I will need to hold back more of the shipping to cover packaging expenses that is more than the usual amount of packaging. I do not make money off the shipping, but do need to cover the expenses such as boxes, bubble wrap, paper, tape, printer ink, and gas to go to the post office.
****International customers please know that all Vats, duties, taxes and customs fees or any extra fees are your responsibility.
I mail in new and gently used clean boxes with careful packaging. Also sometimes padded envelopes.
***Please know that it is the customer's responsibility to make sure their address is correct before purchasing and that there is a safe place for the postal carrier to leave the package at the destination. This includes safety from weather elements and from theft.
