I have recently turned my hand to making masks because I feel vulnerable when people don't wear them. I was not happy with many of the masks I have seen so used the best advice I could find to modify the AFNOR design which is government approved in FRANCE. I am still a dyer but am turning my creativity in another direction for a while.

I am a serendipitous dyer so batches are small and non repeatable. I practice 'intentional dyeing' and like to pre-visualise how yarns will look knitted up. I have been dyeing for more than 20 years and have tried most things in that time. For instance I was dyeing gradient stripes in 2011 long before they became popular. Most of my inspiration comes from the fantasy books (and films) I love.

I am also a pattern designer and hope to be producing knitting kits in the near future.
