With 10 days left amd time running out Lyndsay took my measurements and my drop being 26.5 you know it's custom and not off the rack. She had it to me in 7 days in hand with 3 days to spare. Couldn't be happier having this 1 has my first kilt and I wore it with pride yesterday at the Scottish heritage Highland games ?? thank you so much and I'll be ordering again soon . P.s. I had many compliments and cards came in handy ??

What do you wear under a kilt?

When I was home on maternity leave with our second son, my husband came home after work one day and asked if I'd ever made a kilt...
I spent naptime the next day laying one out. Once we got the sizing squared away and a few designs (namely a logo and brand!) we started slowly. Made to order kilts, custom products for each person who ordered.
Even after I went back to my regular job, the kilts sat in the back of my mind, a perfectly good clothing company.
We went full time last July, and I've never looked back- We now have a tactical kilt, a winter kilt, and even more styles coming out next month. We have had a wonderful time meeting new people and look forward to going to highland festivals and things next year.
I love to sew and even spend my 'days off' sewing non-kilt clothing, crocheting jewelry, or we go rock hunting!

I learned how to sew when I was 6 or 7 on my mom's old Kenmore sewing machine. It was possessed- the pedal was very temperamental, you'd have to stomp on it to get to actually stop sewing, or it would slowly keep putting down stitches.

Shop policies

Last updated on May 12, 2013
In order for the payment/shipping process to be as quick and painless as possible, open communication is encouraged. So, please feel free to contact me via email to voice any questions, comments, or concerns you may have. If you are ever in need of a size that you do not see in my shop I can accommodate you, just shoot me off an email with your size/color/style preference and we'll take care of you!

Due to pants/jeans companies using "Vanity Sizing" policies we STRONGLY URGE that you do not give us your pant size for your kilt measurements. What is "vanity sizing"? You'd be surprised to know that some very popular companies no longer use inch measurements for their waist sizes. From one popular company a size 36 measured out to be 41 inches.

We only use true measurements for sizes.

Our Kilt Care Form is sent with every order:

In order to keep your kilt looking (and smelling) fresh there are a few things you should know. The fabric used in making your kilt is a heavy twill but you should take care washing it. Cold water and the delicate cycle is the preferable setting on the washer and gentle (or air dry) for the dryer. If you choose to use fabric softener on your kilt be aware the pleats will not be as crisp as they were intended. The pleats can be ironed down (on the cotton setting) and you may add starch to increase the rigidity (refer to the instructions on your starch can). The liner is a cotton flannel and can be washed with like colors. We wash the fabric several times before using it in our kilts but we do recommend you wash the kilt at least 2 times separately before washing it with other clothing.
To easily unsnap your kilt, please grasp close to the snaps- they were designed to hold the kilt closed even in hurricane force winds!
A few friendly tips with your kilt:
Going hunting or hiking in your kilt? Flashing a bear will not usually scare it away, that's how yetis came into existence!
Those pockets on your backside come in handy for storing everything from a wallet to an extra beverage, and each pocket can easily fit a 12 oz bottle.
Camouflage kilts do not guarantee your success as a hunter but at least you'll look good!
If you ever need alterations (letting it out or taking it in) please let us know!
We are always happy to show off pictures of our kilted brethren. Be proud of your kilt, we sure are!
