ABOUT THE SHOP
Timid Monsters are small, individually hand-sculpted clay figures that are currently created in numbered and signed series of 15. No molds are used in their production. Each Timid Monster comes with a bit of ridiculousness written about it on a small printed card.

I make Timid Monsters because I believe that the world needs more nonsense and that not all art need be serious.

Please read my shop information/policies before making a purchase. Thanks!

Love this OOAK monster which combines my two favourite colours. He will have pride of place on my desk to brighten a dull and boring day. Excellent craftsmanship and am sure I will be purchasing again soon from this shop!

About

Timid Monsters

Timid Monsters are small, individually handmade clay sculptures. Most are made in sets of 15—though no molds are used in the making of these series—while others are one of a kind. Each Timid Monster comes with a bit of nonsense written about it printed on a small card.

I make Timid Monsters not only because I feel the world is serious enough with expecting all art to also be serious, but also because I believe more art should be accessible and affordable; everyone should be able to afford a bit of handmade.

I have spent an enormously thoughtful amount of time creating a FAQ page on my website and answering said questions. So, please, if you are interested in learning more about Timid Monsters, ordering Timid Monsters, or even what sort of questions are frequently asked, check it out: http://timidmonsters.com/?page_id=761

Gen Con is the largest tabletop-game convention in North America by both attendance and number of events. It features traditional pen-and-paper, board, and card games, including role-playing games, miniatures wargames, live action role-playing games, collectible card games, and strategy games. The Art Show is filled with many of the top fantasy/sci-fi illustrators in the country and many from around the world. You have the opportunity to meet and speak with the artist, see their original art. It is easily my favorite event of the year.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I try to take on custom and personalized order when possible; unfortunately my schedule does not always allow for this. I suggest asking and, in the case of gift-giving, asking early! Especially if you want the item in time for the holidays.

Wholesale availability

Please contact me either via Etsy Conversations or by email at timidmonsters(at)gmail.com with questions or to receive a wholesale packet. While I love the chance to have Timid Monsters available in physical stores, I do not always have the stock on hand due to the various in person events I participate in. Time (and patience on your part) allowing, however, I am happy to make a batch or few of Monster specifically for your store!

Breakage during shipping

While rare, Timid Monsters can sometimes be casualties of shipping. Should this occur, please contact me via Etsy Conversations up receipt. To resolve this issue, I can:
1) Send out another of the same Monster, so long as it is in stock. Should it not be, you can select a Monster of equal or lesser value, with the difference in price being refunded. -or-
2) Issue a refund for the cost of item, and you can attempt a repair. For minor breaks, such as a horn popping out of it's socket, Krazy Glue brand super glue is great! Squeeze a drop or two onto a non-porous surface (ie. wax paper), and lightly dip the horn into the super glue before affixing it to its socket.
In either case, you keep the damaged Timid Monster.
