Troppo Bella means extroardinarily beautiful in Italian; so beautiful, that it is almost too beautful. Curated by Elizabeth Thankful Shannon, a fashion stylist, historian, and antiques expert, Troppo Bella offers the finest vintage and antiques, many of which are rare, and all at affordable prices.

ABOUT THE CURATOR~
Elizabeth procured a degree in Fashion Design and Fashion History in Italy. She is the granddaughter of a fashion-savvy Italian seamstress, whose factory sewed the collections for the top New York designers from the 1950's - 1980's. Her other grandmother was a gold heiress, who grew up in a Gatsbyesque San Francisco mansion, dripping in fine jewels and monograms. Through both of these matriarchs, she developed a strong sense of style, and an impeccable eye for detail.

VINTAGE~
Mad about fashion and accessories, Elizabeth selects items based on uniqueness of line, pattern, and the quality of materials and construction, inspecting each item for flaws, mending seams, searching online for antique and vintage buttons and beads, replacing any missing findings, and restoring them to their natural splendor. A lover of all eras, she hunts for select designer fashions via fashionista, friends or celebs, finagling exclusives on estates, photographing and listing each item in great detail, hoping to find the perfect loving home for each unique piece.

JEWELRY~
Elizabeth offers vintage jewelry, as well as handmade items. She began making jewelry at age 12, starting with Swarovski crystals & safety pin brooches. By age 15, she was cutting, soldering and hammering sterling, brass, and copper, and bezeling gemstones. Her jewelry is almost always one of a kind in color, pattern, stone, or bead, selection, and she welcomes the challenge of creating a unique statement piece in your preferred colors and stones, to match any outfit, or any occasion.

HOME DECOR/FURNITURE~
As a former antiques & art appraiser in New Orleans, Elizabeth selects her home decor offerings for their rarity, retro appeal, craftsmanship, and timelessness. She also loves to upcycle items, bringing them into the 21st century, encrusting items with shells, decoupaging, painting, distressing, beading ordinary things to create objet d'arts, block printing, pouring organic soy candles into vintage containers, and so much more...

PHOTOGRAPHY~
Elizabeth first studied photography at age 10. Her current photos focus on the fluid and/or architectural dimensions of the botanical world, their vibrant hues, and the worlds within worlds that one only finds by delving deep inside the petals. She also has a strong affinity to birds, tiny insects, and the intriguing lines of architecture (something she's been exposed to her entire life via her eccentric, world-renowned architect father).
