Announcement   Louise Truett’s Profile
Louise has been sewing since she was a child. Her mother, grandmother and aunts are all masters of crochet, knitting, quilting, smocking and needlepoint. Louise majored in Apparel Merchandising at Indiana University with an additional degree in Costume Construction Technology and a minor in Marketing. She trained under German Master Tailor, Karla Kunoff and interned with designer Vivian Gray of Atlanta. Louise followed a path of creativity and design and built a successful career as a product designer of interior decor accessories at the wholesale level. Weary of the corporate life, newly married and freshly relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, the evolution of TruLu Couture began. It is the culmination of inspirations from her world travels (India, China, Viet Nam, The Philippines, Thailand, France and Germany), design and culture. Many of the items from TruLu Couture are one-of-a-kind pieces that cannot be recreated due to the nature and availability of vintage materials. Once an item is sold, it might not be available ever again!

TruLu Couture has been an evolution of thought and design over the last decade or so. Refusing to be a part of the nameless, thankless and penniless masses of fashion designers, Louise followed a completely different path of creativity that has finally led her to this particular doorstep. As with all things Louise does, this too will evolve. Come along for the ride, won't you?

Shipping
Kindly remember that there is more to shipping than just the price on the front of the envelope. All of my items are shipped USPS first class or priority mail. Insurance is not included unless the buyer requests it (it's an additional fee- I am not responsible for items lost in the mail or confirmed delivered but not received, so please consider requesting insurance). The "handling" part of shipping is the price of the packaging, the act of packaging, the to and from the post office. Also, when you receive an item from my shop it is always wrapped with care and love. Part of the EXPERIENCE of buying from TruLu Couture is that when you get your purchased piece, it feels like you're opening a gift to enjoy! Thank you!
Additional policies and FAQs
