Meltiing the silver in a furnace. -
I use two different types of wire. A thin flat silver wire to make the pattern. -
Then I continue to fill the spaces with rizzol , a very fine silver double wire which is twisted and flattened. -
This is the tray soldered and polished. -
A six inch Maltese Dghajsa (boat) all handmade in silver filigree.

Welcome and thanks for visiting this shop. TrulyFiligree is a shop where you can find handmade silver 925 filigree and other silver jewelry. As I have been doing this age-old craft for 30 years, I want you to observe the beauty and technique of each piece of jewelry or ornament which is created to keep to the traditional work of filigree. Apart from creating the designs, I also melt the silver, make the wire and solder. Then with a tweezer and an open flame burner I produce this silver jewelry.
