Raised in a family that valued the arts, I find great joy creating something that can be shared with others. There is no wonder I sought a career that allowed me to share that passion. I began as a high school English teacher, and dance coach, and progressed to teaching elementary. Of course, I incorporated the arts and helped students use inspiration to be creative in their own words, movements and work. Starting a family shortly after, gave me a new found appreciation of what other joys life can bring. Both children find expressing themselves in the arts meaningful as well, one playing guitar and writing music and the other a dancer like someone I know! Throughout these years, I have made and shared cards with family and friends. I was introduced to card-making when my mother invited me to a card making class on a mother-daughter outing and I haven't stopped making them since. Sending a loved one a handmade treasure truly expresses the importance of the one receiving it. This is the joy that hooked me! After years of teaching, coaching, and raising a family, I decided, with encouragement from my husband, to share this love with others on Etsy. So here I am! I hope you find joy in connecting with someone you want to show you care through handmade creations too!
