TumbleweedsWoodArt's Shop Announcement

WELCOME to Tumbleweed's Wood Art studio at Saguaro Junction, Mesa, Arizona... a stone's throw (or thereabouts) from the mystical Superstition Mountains! Here you will find a collection of unique hand-crafted items inspired by the beauty and legends of the great American Southwest.
I use a wide variety of native American woods in my creations, including oak, pine, mesquite, alder, and ironwood, to name a few. I feel it is important to mention that no tree is cut down specifically for these projects.. everything I use is either leftover or discarded as "too small" to be useful to someone else (what I affectionately refer to as "orphan-wood"). I found, however, that just as a rough stone becomes a work of art when polished, these "scraps" often reveal a beautiful grain pattern and color that rivals the finest gemstones! Nature has provided us with these treasures... it's up to us to find them. Naturally, not all orphan-wood will yield a gem-quality appearance, so those pieces are at their best when painted.
THANKS for stopping by! I hope you like what you see!
