A commissioned planter. I'm available for large commissions in the Portland metro area.

Earth and fire are at the forefront of my daily experience. In the winter season this means wet clay and the kiln, in the summer I turn to the forests and grasslands for the pursuit of wildland fire-fighting, lighting and studying that dynamic force. It is an honor to share with you my love of earth and fire here at Turned Wares.

Ceramics grounds us in our place in time and space. I believe the craft of turning clay into functional wares for everyday use better connects us with the act of nourishing the body.

From the first production of an off center mug to the refined lines and modern profiles of Turned Wares, bringing food and drink to the table in hand made stoneware gives an enhanced dining experience.
