Welcome! Turning True Studios features a variety of wheel thrown pottery as well as photography featuring art found in nature. My ceramics are wheel thrown and then hand painted before being glazing to give one of a kind design! Check back often to see what has been added to the shelves!

5 out of 5 starsThe cup has a perfect thickness making drinking from it a great experience, but it was the beauty of it that made mine!

5 out of 5 starsone of the nicest, most professional Zentangle-themed ceramic pieces I've seen. Fine craftsmanship; well executed. Love it. thanks.

I love to paint original designs onto my pottery before the final firing and glazing.
Turning True Studios
Turning True Studios is based in a sweet yellow room in Baltimore. It is here that my dabblings and dreams take shape. Pottery photographs, drawings, and an extensive rock collection share the space--with me in the middle! I love to create and am excited to have the opportunity through etsy to share my creations with a wider audience.
As clay turns true on the wheel, centeredness comes. A vessel is created. Holding potential.
TurningTrueStudios is a space where movement brings art. Movement of the wheel, hands, clay. A found object is turned and re-viewed through the lens of art.
I have been a potter since my college days in the late 1980's. All of my pottery is functional--and beautiful. I throw my pieces on the wheel, and then after the first firing I paint the surfaces with a rainbow of underglazes before the final glaze firing. As a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT), I love to add tangles to my pottery! You can find out more about this magical art form and my process at my website--turningtruestudios.com.
New to the shop, are photographs of rocks that I have found on the shores of Lake Superior. The colors and markings on the rocks are their own art--and I am grateful for the opportunity to showcase this beauty.
Thank you for visiting my shop. Visit again soon to see new additions!
