The start of carefully piecing each tiny piece to create the center for the pillow cover. This technique is called Improv Piecing and perhaps my favorite technique of all!

This is a great example of 'warp & weft'. Different colors are woven together giving the fabric a Chambray or iridescent look. These Shot Cotton fabrics are used throughout the quilt !
