From Humble Beginnings to a full fledged Jewelry Maker
Well, to be honest creativity was not fostered in my house as a kid and so I didn't even realize I was creative until after I was 30 yrs old. One day me and my brother were talking about all the neat things we come across in our industry and that its a shame that we are throwing it away so we devised a plan to start making old things useful again either by upcycling them or by simply finding that person out there that will appreciate them in their natural state.
So I set out trying to figure out what to do and once I decided on jewelry I needed to find an outlet to get my work out to the people. I graduated from FSU with a degree in business management so I have a good understanding of business and marketing so I started social marketing first then I found Etsy and after looking at the site for a short period of time I knew that this is exactly where I need to be. After being on Etsy for a while now getting established as a decent jewelry maker, I'm beginning to venture into the purely vintage market now. Soon I will be posting vintage items that I discovered along the way through my travels. I will still be making jewelry but also look for these vintage items coming soon.
I'm 35 years old, I have worked with my hands all my life, although I do have two college degrees, I enjoy working as opposed to sitting at a desk. I enjoy making jewelry and seeing people when they see my work.

Additional policies and FAQs
I get this question a lot and my answer is, possibly if it is in direct constant contact with your skin as with a ring or cuff. If it is treated with a wax or clear coat the reaction can be minimized but the extent the reaction is different with everyone but most people will just get a green tint under the ring or cuff. I use store bought ear wires for my earrings so that your skin is not actually in contact with the copper wire so the copper on the earrings should not affect you. If you ears are super sensative you may want upgrade to sterling silver earwires. (mesg me?) Each person's skin reacts to copper in different ways. For some people it will turn your skin green when worn but for some it doesn't. There is no way to know if it will happen to you other than by wearing a copper ring. If your skin does have a reaction to the copper the green mark will usually disappear overnight (if the ring is removed) or will easily wash away with soap and water.
Through our conversations I have probably already added the first coat of Urethane to most of the items that you see in my shop. Please mesg me if you have further questions. If you did not request the clear coat but decide later you want it to try to prevent the ring from turning your finger green you can apply Poly-urethane, clear nail polish or Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax Polish to the inside of the ring. The coating will prevent the ring's metal alloys from coming in contact with your skin and should prevent your finger from turning green. The clear polish will eventually wear off and when it does just add another application of the nail polish or wax.
You can prolong the tarnishing effects of the environment by keeping your jewelry in a ziplock bag and/or by using anti-tarnish strips you can findon amazon http://www.amazon.com/3M-Anti-tarnish-Tabs-Strips-Inch/dp/B0050248TM/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1339018834&sr=1-1-catcorr
If your copper tarnishes darker than you would like you can use Worcestershire sauce for cleaning copper. As unlikely as it sounds, the acid in the tomato in Worcestershire sauce does a great job of cleaning copper and brass jewelry. This method should not be used with gemstones or pearls that cannot be cleaned with chemical cleaners, as the acid in the tomato of the Worcestershire may affect more delicate stones.
Additional notes on special orders: All special orders will be for sale to the public unless you specify that you would not like me to sell it before I make it and pay accordingly. Convo me for more info.
Also, I do use recycled materials and vintage beads and hardware, so you can expect some wear and stray marks through out my work. Also, since I do use vintage beads I only have a limited quantity of each exact bead but if I run out of that exact bead I will discuss with you the other options before I make your piece, I think the subtle differences adds to the character and uniqueness of my work but to be sure you like it, I will send you high resolution pictures taken with my DSLR camera and also if there are any glaring differences from the item pictured I will discuss them with you before shipping.
