5 out of 5 starsA very unique representation of Taj Mahal (I think the tin totally captures of beauty of it). All parts are carefully crafted and there is nothing I can complain. I just simply love this tin!

The one that started it all: beaded, fold out birthday "card"

It was fun to create this one. I liked making the petal flaps for the rose; unfold and reveal the secret potion.

One of my very favorites. This guy went to Australia. My first attempt at creating a real polymer clay sculpture.

Mostly Altered Tins
My artistic and creative interests are varied. Like most creative types, I have a need to explore and experiment with many materials and techniques, both traditional and non traditional and find it impossible to to commit to only one medium. Using these Altoids tins as the primary support for what ever medium I choose has help me stay focused on the enjoyment of creative exploration.
In the process of all this I've determined where my real passion is and where my talents might be. I enjoy working with paper and have ventured into paper cutting and making mini books and I thoroughly enjoy working on small scale projects.
I am always happy when I receive positive feedback on my creations, whether selling here or at art shows or even NOT selling; I just enjoy the conversations that are started with others about their passions and adventures in art.
So, that is basically a little insight of how TwisnPout came to be. Oh yeah, about that name. Well, sometimes you can find me in the studio twisting away to some of my favorite tunes as I work... and then there are those days when projects don't always go as planned and you might find me pouting.... then twisting, then pouting again. I'm sure you can relate.
Thanks so much for reading. I also have a blog where I talk more about my projects and processes (among other things) so, if you'd like to read more, pop over to mariefriddle.com.
Cheers!
Marie
