About TwoBeekeepers

Sales 288
On Etsy since 2015

Two Beekeepers is about honey bees, beekeeping, and products from the hive.

My Honey and I started beekeeping in 2013 as a way to farm in an urban community. We only had 7 hives and now, we keep 52+ hives. Honey bees do not need daily care like other farm animals. They are pretty self sufficient. Although with so many hives it has turned into a full time job.

Most people know that honey is made by honey bees, but there are other products from the hive such as wax, pollen, propolis, and royal jelly. All of which we will start adding to our product line in the future.

Not everyone likes honey (I know shocking – my niece is one of them! Oh the agony!) so I also include other products that people may enjoy. I added beauty products when customers wanted products without all the chemicals and scents (our Plain Jane line). My grandma taught me how to sew and I learned to knit and crochet on my own. I enjoy taking fabric or yarn and creating something functional or just downright cute out of them. I add the products I like and use even though they may not include anything from the hive.

We enjoy honey bees and beekeeping. We like to share our products from the hive where you can enjoy them without the sting!

    Owner

Besides beekeeping, I have an interest in sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting, and photography. I enjoy making something out of nothing. I am also working to develop traditional and old-fashioned farming skills to create a sustainable life.

    Assistant

Marty is a farm boy at heart. He always thought he would be a row cropper and never though in his wildest dreams that he would instead have livestock. We both own and work the bees. He is also my guinea pig for trying new items before we sell them.
