About

Rough Treasures for Modern Maidens and Urban Warriors

I named my little slice of paradise "Two Shoe Gardens" for the two rusty old horseshoes I found while digging my original garden beds.

I share my space with my own personal knight in beautifully patinaed armor, my two little girls who aren't so little anymore, 2 Boxer dogs and a Spaniel mutt, at least 5 turtles, 1 lizard, and a number of fish which changes too often to keep track.

Our property is just north of Nashville, Tennessee on the shores of Old Hickory Lake and our whole family loves to go out on mudluscious nature hunts. We've got a special spot where we find amazing fossils in a creek out in the country and weird and beautiful treasures wash up on our "beach" all the time.

I create and collect Rough Treasures for Modern Maidens and Urban Warriors. Found Objects and Hand-crafted, Modern accessories that have a connection to history and a story to tell, bringing a bit of the Savage Garden to the Urban Jungle.

The resources provided to us by Mother Earth are precious and I make every effort to use them wisely. While many of my items are not Vegan-friendly, I do try to use ethically sourced materials. The leather items in my shop are created from scrap leather provided by an Etsy seller who makes leather bound books. The peacock feathers are naturally shed and hand collected by me from EXTREMELY happy peacocks.

My hope is that I can provide you with something that helps you connect with the natural beauty that surrounds us, offers an interesting story, and looks amazing. Feel free to let me know if I've succeeded.
