Thank you for this beautifully made chain! I am a huge fan of TZUNUUM. The jewellery is authentic, simple (in the best of all ways) and at the same time really special.

L'art d'etre unique.

TZUNUUM is a handmade jewelry and accessories label, founded in 2012 from a desire to translate my artistic vision into a wearable form. It is an ever evolving project exploring ways of merging ancient and traditional crafts with modern design. Each piece is hand crafted one at a time, celebrating craft(wo)manship and uniqueness over uniform mass production.

With a heart deep rooted in nature, TZUNUUM is committed to treading lightly on this beautiful planet. From pattern to the final packaging, each step of the process is thought with minimum waste, respect for nature and our future in mind. One of TZUNUUM’s missions is to reclaim, reuse and relove whenever possible, without compromising on quality and durability.

Brass is locally sourced (reclaimed from dead stock whenever possible) and Eco Silver (100% recycled ) is used as an earth friendly alternative to 925 sterling silver. Gemstones are sourced from a handful of trusted retailers committed to provide conflict free stones, fair wages and safe working conditions. The leather is also sourced locally and always 100% vintage or dead stock, no new hides or animal products come into the making process.

"The name TZUNUUM comes from Mayan mythology. It is the first hummingbird, who was originally white and only took pride in its ability to fly rather than its appearances. For her wedding day, the other animals of the forest all gave something of themselves to make her the most colorful gown. She was very pleased with it but still refused to take pride in her appearance. The Great Spirit so admired her humble, honest soul that he sent word through his messenger Cozumel the swallow, that the hummingbird could wear her wedding gown for the rest of her life."

Frequently asked questions

Can I have my TZUNUUM piece sent directly to a loved one?

Of course. If you wish your order to be sent as a gift, simply leave a note in the message to seller box at checkout including the recipient's name and address along with any personal message you would like to add. That's it!

Do you do custom work?

Yes!!! Custom and bespoke work requests are always welcome. Just hit the contact seller button and let's talk.

How do I take care of my jewelry?

I advise to store your jewelry in its original packaging, away from wet surfaces and dust. I would also recommend to not be wearing your jewelry whilst doing exercising or showering, as moisture accelerates the oxidising process.

Brass naturally takes on a beautiful darker patina with time and although each of my pieces is coated with protective finish, I recommend polish your jewelry with a soft cloth after wear to prevent tarnishing.

But life must be lived and if needed, you can restore its original shine by using commercial jewelry cleaner, although I would suggest trying some of the chemical free alternatives such ketchup and hot soapy water.
