About

From our Herd to your Hands!

We started out as any other FFA/4H family...our kids wanted to show animals, so we started building pens. Our oldest son decided goats were his thing, so we...reluctantly... helped him get a couple Boer does. He showed both does and did quite well, but his true love was a Nubian Dairy doe named, Shelbie Lane.
In the spring he had to breed her so she could show as a yearling in milk. After Fair, we had this doe with a full udder who needed to be milked twice a day...the rest is history. Kyle and I began milking Shelbie and drinking what she produced (much to the disapproval of the rest of our family). Now...7years later...we consume only dairy products harvested from our own herd.
Our dairy herd and farm grew from there...seeing the benefits of raw milk and all it was doing for our family, I began researching how it could benefit the skin. If it was even half as great for your skin as it was for your digestive system, life would be good...very good! Because I was a 40 year old who still suffered with daily acne and Rosacea...I began the task of creating my own skin care. I was under Dr. care, but the treatments involved daily hormones and expensive medications...not things I wanted in or on me! My first soap was an Oatmeal Goat Milk bar...which I still use daily even now. Was it a complete cure...no...but I was able to drop the hormones and now all I use is my soap, my scrubs and our lotions. I have minimal breakouts and no more excessive redness and most importantly...I am only putting natural ingredients on my skin!
Now...our small little one dairy goat farm has evolved into our Sustainable Family Farm where all we need, eat and love is right here at home!
