I do my best to seek out environmentally friendly supplies – from local organic eggs and beeswax, to non-toxic dyes and recycled packaging. Making pysanky is a meditative and soulful activity with a rich cultural history going back over 1000 years. Traditional designs often feature symbols from nature – in honor of these traditions, I offer supplies that reflect care for the natural world.
My husband and I support ourselves as artists and have many years experience selling our work at farmers markets, art studio tours, the world famous Pike Place Market and online here at Etsy. Seasonally, I teach Ukrainian egg making workshops at my studio on Vashon Island, just a short ferry ride from Seattle. I'm Emily, a professional artist with over 25 years experience decorating eggs using traditional beeswax-resist techniques. Under the mentorship of a pysanky artist from a young age, I gained a lifelong love for this meditative and peaceful art form.

I do my best to seek out environmentally friendly supplies, from local organic eggs and beeswax, to non-toxic dyes and recycled packaging. Making pysanky is a meditative and soulful activity with deep connections to the natural world. It's important to me that my tools and supplies reflect this care for the earth.

Returns and exchanges
In the rare case that an item arrives cracked or damaged, please contact me as soon as possible and I will arrange a suitable replacement or refund.

If there is special urgency or a deadline for when you need an order to arrive, please send me a note when you checkout. I understand birthdays and holidays can approach quickly. I'm happy to add expedited shipping for rush orders; there are several options available at checkout.
HOW TO CALCULATE SHIPPING: The easiest way to calculate shipping costs is to add items to your cart. The collective or "bundled" shipping cost is automatically summed up for preview.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: I am happy to ship internationally and most orders are received in a smooth and timely manner. (Generally 1-3 weeks with standard shipping depending on location.) However, please be aware that delays can occur when passing through international customs. Buyers may also be charged additional customs fees or taxes based on the policies of the receiving country.
