I have been pursuing art seriously for seventeen years. I have exhibited nationally, earning my BFA from the University of Michigan as well as receiving my MFA from the Savannah College of Art & Design in Painting. Alongside my partner I created Under the Shed Productions; this venture is at the heart of all my creative endeavors, including the upcoming completion of my first novel.

Always dissecting dichotomies and archiving the abandoned, a decade ago I traded in metro Detroit for rural South Carolina sweating the heat of a southern summer out under the shed, listening to the rickety fan’s whir as giant dragonflies landed on my toes. A change in lifestyle brought two revelations: silence isn’t silent, and parallels between the landscapes of urban Detroit and rural South Carolina are strikingly similar, both filled with modern day ruins. This dichotomy of rural/urban neglect has led to further exploration of what divides us: rich/poor, straight/gay, man/woman. While pursuing my investigation inside this mysterious land of either/or we exist in, my goal is to create not only thought-provoking but salient art objects using photography, collaged hand drawn images, digital art, and art blocks.

A primary objective is to keep the work reasonably priced, a fundamental philosophy cost should never keep people from owning fine art. This decision led me to discover the process of making 'prints'.

Currently I offer both limited edition prints and traditional open edition prints, each labeled accordingly. I require the finest ingredients in the originals I create, demanding the printing company responsible for outputting my work produce rich vibrant replications of these primary sources. Every reproduction is checked to be certain it is filled with depth reflecting each complex layer and shadow.

Best way to get in touch with me? 'convo' or email me, CowboyJack64 [!at] att.net. I look forward to questions, any special requests for your order, custom work requests, or compliments. Do NOT email me to tell me you think my works stinks.

Please make your payment without delay. This will ensure your art is made & shipped in a timely manner. Shipping estimates are from the day your payment cleared, NOT date of purchase. I accept Paypal, Paypal E-Checks, checks & money orders. Absolutely NO cash. Paypal is my preferred method of payment, you do not need a Paypal account to make a payment through Paypal. Just a valid credit card (Paypal accepts both debit & credit cards).

For orders outside the US, I only accept Paypal.

Please note artwork will not be sent until the check clears (typically 10 business days). There is a $30 fee for any check returned to me & this MUST be paid by money order.

Please provide correct email & physical addresses. I will use the address you provide Etsy, NOT Paypal, as the address you have selected unless you tell me otherwise.

For large orders,($100 or more) I will do a lay-a-way method with no more than three monthly payments, item(s) will be shipped upon receipt of last payment.

Orders left unpaid (except checks or money orders) after 3 days are subject to cancellation if no prior arrangement has been made. (After two days, I send a reminder invoice just in case you forgot).

Checkout is easy! Follow these steps:
Please allow 2-3 business days for your order to ship. This gives the gnomes I’m paying time to print them.
It’s a small world. I ship everywhere.
There is fine print thought (always, right?)

Please read my policies below.

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. I like the Post Office. I ship First Class Mail (Domestic & International) in an effort to save you money. But if you prefer Priority or Express please contact me to set up a listing for you.

International Customers are responsible for any & all fees & tariffs associated with Customs. These fees & tariffs are not included in either the purchase and/or shipping costs. Please be patient, packages mailed First Class can take 2-3 weeks-sometimes longer, if caught up in customs.

All sales outside the US are shipped using First Class International unless you the buyer message me a request for Priority Mail. You should know you can't track or insure packages with First Class service from USPS. This is a risk that you the buyer are taking when accepting this service.

**I cannot mark any International packages as a "gift" on the customs form.** Asking any Shipper to write "Gift" on a Customs Form is really illegal.

Refund will not be issued until pieces are shipped back to me.
If you do not have a Paypal account to issue a refund to I will only issue a refund via Money Order.

Additional policies and FAQs

All prints are dated and signed by myself, Michelle Sauvé. I sign small or 'bleed' prints on the back.

Sizes are set based on the original. Some works don't translate well to larger sizes. The size assigned to a print is the most accurate representation of the work. Not all prints include a border. I do my best to include this in the detail.

FRAMING QUESTIONS? I do have ample knowledge about the ins & outs of custom framing vs using standard frames and welcome inquiries. My art works with both. I try to consider framing when determining sizes, but the work gets final vote, sometimes it can land outside the 'standard' framing sizes. My best suggestion in this case is to use matting creatively adjusting the mat from anywhere between the 2-4 inch standard margin range. Mats are not included.
I do recommend custom framing when/if you can afford it. Matting helps every piece stand out from the wall, and the presentation makes the most bland image look better.

Please note the color on your monitor may differ slightly from what you will see in your print. Some computers present images slightly darker or lighter than actual appearance. Remember the colors in your print are my intended result. My standards are very high and would not send prints that fail the test.
