As long as one lives it's never too late to start a new beginning

I recently moved from Canada to Czechia, so I had to open a new Etsy shop. I chose to name it Unique Art Gifts by 3xRE to preserve a connection with my first shop - 3xRE.

In the first part of my career I was a lawyer by trade and by mistake :), then a free-lance language tutor and translator by survival necessity in a foreign country and never meant to be an artist.

And then I retired, and for a while lost my direction…

Over time, I had many hobbies and as long as I remember, I loved making stuff with my own hands, from sewing to knitting and crochet to restore, renovate or even make pieces of furniture.

Nevertheless, several years ago I found new purpose in life in crafts and painting. Actually, I started with painting and then accidentally discovered and got hooked on decoupage, papier/paper mache and paper (mache) clay, mixed media, digital visual arts... But, these new techniques and skills, I got to learn through courses and relentless experimentation that led me to fall in love with making art from everything and anything my eye can catch. As Pablo Picasso says: “The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web".

Since up-cycling, or in other words re-use, re-purpose, re-cycle waste and found objects, became my incentive and my passion, you will find in our shop various artworks created from many kinds of different materials: (news)paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, etc.

My favorite raw material is trash paper and papier/paper mache as well as paper mache clay (or simply paper clay). They are the main techniques I employ in creating most of my featured artworks. And being a DIY person I craft it on my own. In a couple of videos on my YT channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ2sEU0TUaJ0W_ty8yPKPSw you can see how I make paper mache clay and some other items offered in the shop like necklace pendants, wind chimes, bowls.

Apart from all that, another passion of mine is mixed media art done digitally and I especially love playing with my own paintings creating printable posters.

Frequently asked questions
DAMAGES

Please check the content of your package immediately upon receipt. Do not accept a package with visible signs of damage.

In case of damage to the product inside the package, you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt and include photo documentation. Please use Etsy messages for this purpose. Orders damaged during transport are eligible for a refund.

Please save the envelope/box with post label and damaged item(s): this will be needed for the insurance claim.

Damage notifications submitted more than 24 hours after receipt of package and/or without photo documentation will not be accepted.

RETURNS DETAILS

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

A traceable, registered service must be used for return shipping. We will not refund items which are lost in transit. Qualified refund will be issued after we receive and inspect the item.

MISSING/LOST PACKAGES:

Please let us know if your package is missing or lost, and we will do everything in our power to help you locate it. However, we cannot be held financially liable for missing/lost packages which were previously confirmed as delivered by the postal or courier service.
