I ordered the beaded mermaid key chain for my daughter, who as a tyke had made a wonderfully accurate clay model of the red-headed mermaid Ariel of movie fame. When I received mermaid from the seller, it was beautifully made, but had blue hair instead of red pictured online. I contacted the seller and recounted my story of clay Ariel and she immediately agreed to send a mermaid with red hair. I should receive that one soon. I've kept Blue Haired Mermaid as a gift for another friend and was happy to buy Red Haired Mermaid as the seller responded so graciously to my request and I understand that the proceeds of the sale go to a good cause.

Mystic Traveling Woman Treasure Hunting
My store name is "AwilaAsul". It means "Blue Woman" in the quechua language from the Andes mountains in Peru.
Art and creativity was my call since young age. Curiosity made me very observant of my surroundings and the beauty of nature. When I was 15 years old I asked my mom to let me attend a school of Interior Design in Mexico City (where we were living then). Mom was not easy to convince but finally she agreed. I felt right at home from the start.
I like to repurpose clothing, furniture and even stones from far away waters. Recycling and reusing is a must to keep our earth clean and shining!
I have travelled to several countries in America and Asia. Their art and customs have inspired me to continue my work. Just returned from a year trip to Thailand, Guatemala, Peru and Mexico. My head is full of ideas that you'll be able to see come to life in my products.
Welcome to my Etsy store!
