I needed to have a 1/2" wide collar made to go with a Rosie the Riveter tag I already had. I messaged several shops here on Etsy, but Terri with Uppity Puppitys was one of the first to get back with me and definitely the most friendly and helpful. She had several different fabrics for me to choose from and was just so accommodating throughout the whole process. I was also pleasantly surprised when I received the collar within just a few days of placing the order. It's exactly what I had in mind...I ❤️ it! This was a great, all around purchasing experience! Beautiful collar! Looks great, and the dog loves it, too. Seller was able to help me through a sizing issue we were having (our dog is right on the cusp between two different sizes), and custom make the collar to fit her. The material used is great—it seems durable, but isn’t uncomfortable for her to wear. Thank you so much!

The Story of My Life

In 2014, I was looking for a coat to fit my diabetic dog KatyAnn and was unable to find any that fit her correctly. As she has very little muscle mass and is shaped differently than a lot of other dogs, the coats either were too big or too small. I decided to pull out my sewing machine to see if I could make her a coat that would be more comfortable for her. Well, the coat turned out so well and I had so much fun that I made her a comfy bed. She loved her comfy bed and at that point I realized that I wanted to keep making more things for her and other pets. This is when it all began.
I set up my first Etsy Shop, KVS Pet Accessories, in February 2014. The idea was to make a variety of products including dog coats, beds, collars, leashes, bow ties, and flowers. I wanted to add more accessories to this shop including pet food mats, organizers, pet apparel and more as time went by. Four months later, I thought it would be to set up another Etsy shop and add more elaborate collars & sports collars, leashes, bow ties, and other fancy accessories to this shop. Uppity Puppitys was started at this point. Both shops have grown substantially since that time. I have changed my thought process on both shops and will be making some changes here in 2016. I will be taking off some items in both shops but will be adding more of a variety of uniquely made other accessories. I hope you will come by to visit both of my shops and watch how my shops transform as time allows through 2016 and into 2017.
