Ceramic Artwork by Matt Kearney

I grew up always wanting to be an artist. I found it difficult to stand out in a sea of 2D artists. I met a Korean Master Potter named Ki Woon Huh in Sarasota while still in high school. His work opened my eyes to what was possible with ceramics and the world of possibilities in 3D artwork. I studied under Ki Woon for several years. Then went 10 years without having any studio space to work in.

Now I'm back to work with a new studio space as of July 2016. I've found my groove again and am excited to produce more of my unique ceramic artwork. You'll find a variety of prices in my work. I try to provide something for everyone, even the beginner collector.

I also do custom artwork. Let me know if you have an idea you'd like to throw by me or if you see something here you'd like customized.

Custom and personalized orders

Contact me at matt@upriverceramics.com to discuss custom and personalized orders. Anything that needs to be made from scratch may take anywhere from a week to 2 months to create due to kiln constraints. Every piece needs to go through the kiln twice. And if the order itself doesn't fill the kiln, it will need to wait until there is enough other pieces to fire along with it.
