5 out of 5 starsNice photo. I got it because it fits in with my spring decor theme- wildlife mothers and their young (even though the photographer said this is a father and his pup...so it's cooperative parenting!) I have it on my kitchen table and enjoy it whenever I go in.

5 out of 5 starsFirst of all, thanks for the information re: what's going on in the photo! That makes it even more impactful. The photo is gorgeous! The green of the background is rich and sets off the birds beautifully. The colors of the birds are amazing!

Frequently asked questions
What camera and lens do you use?
I shoot with 2 cameras. I have a Canon 7D marl ii and a Canon 1Dx mark iii. My main lens at the moment is a EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM. I use a 1.4 extender a lot as well.
Where do you go to photograph wildlife?
I go to places like Beaver Lake Nature Center and Sterling Nature Center a lot. Both located in upstate NY. I enjoy visiting Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. My own property is pretty awesome as well. I have a grey fox den on my property. Last year they had 7 kits. There is also a Great Blue Heron rookery with 30+ nests in it that’s a 2 minute walk down the road from my home.
