About

As long as I can remember I was always drawing or making things unless I was picking up rocks bugs and critters!

I grew up in Chicago suburbs. My parents moved here from Canada after two kids. Another sister and myself(the baby) where born in the Chicago burbs.
At an early age I was already creating and selling my artful what-evers.
At the age of 16 I went to live with my brother when he offered to help me keep out of the trouble that I was getting into in Chicago. While there a friend of his who was a silversmith taught me how to work with metals and cut cabochons. That was all I needed!!!!! I fell in love with metal and all aspects of the craft. That started my journey and gave me something I absolutely cant live without!!

I studied under some amazing jewelers in my life and became a fine jewelry designer using gold and platinum.
I created many custom pieces of jewelry for people and I've also won a couple of awards for my designs. Thank you Brother!!!!!

Throughout my life I've opened a successful business that has supported my need for the arts and I met the man of my life who also is a jeweler.
Together we have worked in our business and I now get to work at home and spend time with my sweet mom who now lives with us;)

I love to teach people what I know, and love to share ideas and give access to supplies to make beautiful artful creations.
I even taught my father how to silversmith. That was several years ago...without totally giving up my age:)
Since then I've never stopped.

As the years passed, my mom decided to come and live with us after my fathers passing. I then built my studio at home I decided to start getting back to my roots doing Lapidary work (cutting rock and making cabochons for jewelry.) Then I discovered mineral specimens with lovely sparkling crystals called drusy in 2009. I’ve been hooked ever since. Now I just want to create the colorful all natural gems from the amazing rocks minerals that have endless combinations of color and beauty and sparkle!

I love to paint with acrylics, work with flame and glass, and do just about anything creative that I can get my little hands into.
I've always been a kind of a tom-boy. I dont mind getting dirty, but I loved girlie things too obviously! I Love different and sometimes a little out there stuff!

I hope you enjoy my drusy cabochons that are my passion "at this time."
I am so taken by the beautiful and interesting forms that mother nature creates!!
I have also learned so so much about minerals and crystals. It's a whole new world really that learning about never ends. I thought I knew enough about jewelry and fine gemstones and diamonds, But to find out what's behind all that is amazing to me and I want to learn more and more.
Life is a journey!

Peace and hugs,
~Cindy

Additional policies and FAQs
About my packing:
I pack my stones in a very well padded cassette boxes unless they are to large to fit. They are taped down with only a small strip of double stick tape so the will come off easily from the bottom thin foam sheet they are taped to. The thin foam sheet they are taped to "is not tapped to the bottom of the cassette box. Best way to remove them is to remove the bit of bubble wrap off of the stones and take the foam sheet out with the stones attached, lay it down flat and peel stones off carefully.
"Please remove the stones over a soft surface so they do not fall on the floor and break"I am not responsible for stones you break while unpacking.
I take care to pack them so please take care removing them;)
