This bracelet perfectly matches a custom set that she made for me last month. The lotus etching is beautiful! I receive so many compliments on the jewelry from this shop.

I love this necklace and it looks great layered with a shorter necklace. This is my second necklace from this shop, and my only problem is deciding which one to wear. I love everything she makes! Excellent seller and artist.

About

From Cubicle to Tropical Paradise

I’ve always been a bit of a tomboy in stiletto heels with a love of working with tools and building “stuff”. I attribute this to growing up with three brothers and a father who was great at fixing things and building just about anything you can imagine. Some of my earliest memories are of being in the garage with my dad, watching him work, fascinated by all the different drills, vices and hand tools. I can see how those moments with him influenced my future with metal and tools. Now, as a “grown-up” (and I use that term very lightly), I still get a rush at the hardware store!

I am a self taught jewelry artist who stumbled upon jewelry making completely by accident. I came across some thicker gauge wire that resembled the large gauge surgical steel wire used to make my gauged earrings. Curious, I purchased a roll and started experimenting with it, making different shapes which slowly transformed themselves in necklaces, rings and bracelets. Little did I know that this small bit of curiosity was the beginning of an entire life shift for me.

At the time I was working a grueling corporate job that was sucking the life out of me. Making jewelry was a way to unwind at the end of the day. My designs got more creative and intricate and my knowledge of metal work grew. I began wearing my pieces and co-workers and people out and about would ask where I bought them. From there I started getting orders and opened my Etsy shop.

Within a year of those initial designs, I made the decision to quit my 15 year corporate career and relocate from Los Angeles to Costa Rica. Upon my arrival here in 2007, all the right doors opened for me. I stumbled upon a great opportunity to open my own boutique right in front of the beach. I met my husband. But most importantly, I found peace. Things just fell into place – which to me felt like a sign that I was heading in the right direction.

Fast forward and my boutique is doing better than ever. I absolutely love running my own business and being a full time jewelry artist. I have not forgotten for one second how blessed I am to be able to do something that I enjoy so much. Best of all, I finally love coming to work everyday!

Additional policies and FAQs
CARING FOR YOUR JEWELRY:

Many of my pieces are made of either brass or copper. Metals naturally tarnish over time due to body oils and oxidation. To keep your jewelry shiny and like new a jewelry polishing cloth is very helpful. Also for a thorough clean mix baking powder, lemon and water in a small cup and gently scrub your jewelry with a toothbrush. Some people have a reaction to brass or copper where it leaves a greenish color on the skin temporarily. This is very common due to your natural body oils but if you want to lessen this affect you can put clear nail polish on your jewelry where it touches the skin.

CLEARANCE SALES:

I do a large inventory clean-up twice a year and mark lots of pieces down 50% off. If you would like to be notified by e-mail when those sales will be, please visit this link and sign up for my mailing list:
