Announcement   Welcome to my shop and thanks for looking. You can find out more about my website at www.ginamariedunn.com

I am pleased to share that my artwork was featured in Origin Magazine, a national arts+ culture magazine available at Whole Foods across thecountry, for the past 6 issues.\. I was also featured in Daily Candy Dallas and have been written up twice in The Dallas Morning News this year, most recently for the 25 original paintings that were commissioned by the new Omni Hotel which opened in November 2012.

After several requests, you can now purchase my artwork online. Everything is original. Giclee fine art prints of all of my paintings are also available.

I am continually amazed by the subconscious that is often suppressed but somehow demands to be listened to and try to capture that essence in each work of art. With subject matter varying from cellular abstractions to modern landscapes, there is a dreamlike, organic aspect to my work that pervades. My paintings put my own feelings under the microscope, examine them, and draw inspiration from the magnitude of emotions on display. Each work in its own way addresses the vulnerability that stems from being at the mercy of powers greater than us but also from the knowledge that life is precious and beautiful.

I hope you enjoy!

About

This is My Story and I'm Sticking to It

I'm not afraid of color.

My paintings are spontaneous explorations into what is currently fascinating me and could be described as transitional abstracts. Exploring concepts, images and feelings, I like to see what happens in the moment.

I am continually amazed by the subconscious that is often suppressed but somehow demands to be listened to and try to capture that essence in my painting. My work’s inspiration fuses a variety of interests: the organic beauty found in nature, yoga practices and philosophies, and the power of spirituality. Each work in its own way addresses the vulnerability that stems from being at the mercy of powers greater than us but also from the knowledge that life is precious and beautiful.

Through my work, I am exploring my personal inner vocabulary via color, texture and form. In the midst of a chaotic, over stimulating, modern world, I seek a balanced simplicity and my artwork is a vehicle to remind us stay in a state of equipoise despite external circumstances.
