I LOVE this pattern! I used it to make about 20 sweet little bags for colleagues for Christmas! I filled them with chap stick, a small tube of lotion and the purse-size tissues - everyone loved it! Thank you for a great pattern!😃

I made this hat for my husband for Christmas. It was a real surprise and he loved it! The pattern is simple, the instructions are clear and the hat is quick to make.
Life is too short to wear boring clothes <3
Hi and welcome to my shop Vaappi, or as we say in Norwegian; Våppi (you pronounce the 'å' -letter almost like 'oh!').
Vaappi is our daughters nickname. When we in Norwegian say 'vår pie' super-fast, directly translated into English: our girl, it sounds like Vaappi. Therefore the shop/brand name 'Vaappi'.
My name is Jeanette, I work full-time ++ at a company that builds fiber broadband all over Norway, I have a partner through many years, Tom, and together we have a fantastic daughter, Emilie (13 ). Sewing is my extra job/hobby - and I love to sew! All day long I have all these ideas buzzing around in my head of clothes I would like to sew. Sometimes I wish that a day consists of more than 24 hours..
Even though it is me who designs, cuts, hand-prints and sews the clothes, I consider 'Vaappi' to be our family business. Both my partner and our daughter helps me out with practical tasks, I am so blessed and grateful for my family. I also have to mention that it is my Tom who does everything at home, he cooks and cleans and even goes fabric-shopping for me! Without him, I couldn't run my business like I do.
SO WHAT CAN I TELL YOU ABOUT THE CLOTHES THAT I SEW?
Oh yes, there are 3 things that are very important for me when I make a new dress or a new skirt, not necessary in this order:
* It must be comfortable to wear
* It must be a garment that makes one happy, both to wear but also to look at
* It must have good quality. I take pride in my work, I don't rush anything - and I aim to use equipment and supplies with good quality
You may have noticed that I use a lot of bright colors, dots and stripes at the clothes I sew? I love colors and I live by the saying that 'life is too short to wear boring clothes'. I have a plus size figure myself and earlier I used to wear all black clothes (couldn't find what I was looking for in the closet, everything was black!) Luckily I 'grew up', and realized that it was nonsense to hide my body in dark clothes. We are as we are and it is up to our self to make the best out of it, the not so flat stomach and big butt did not look neither smaller or prettier in dark clothes.. Besides, according to my customers, and my own experience; happy colorful dresses, makes happy women (and probably happy husbands and partners as well...) Soooo: Be brave, be bold and whether you are petite or have a plus size body, use colorful clothes, it makes you feel awesome!
My dream is that one day in the future, I will be able to make a living out of my hobby and only have to work part time (I can not stay at home sewing all day long, I am a social person, so I need colleagues and a job outside the house).
For thorough measurements and information about the dress and skirt sizes visit my page: https://spark.adobe.com/page/7HqNkk33losVw/ or click on the 'Blog' link below (it's actually not a blog but there was no better word to describe the page.. )
Anyway, I hope you'll find something you like in my store. I do custom orders, so If you find a dress you like, but perhaps not in your size, or you would like different colors or print (of the ones I have), - don't hesitate to contact me.
A big smile from
I'm a self-taught sewer who has been sewing since elementary school. As a child, my mother used to call me 'the sewing machine killer'.. Thankfully much has changed since then :)
