The birth of Vallon des Trésors

~THE BEGINNING~

In October 2012 I moved to France, to be with my boyfriend after he moved to France earlier that year. We moved in a apartment in Marseilles, close to a area called Vallon des Auffes.

For Christmas and new years in 2012-2013 we went on a family holiday to Toronto - Canada. it was an amazing holiday! Somehow the city's fabric shops gave me inspiration, and I decided I wanted to start my own Etsy shop.

As soon as we came home I started preparations.I took time to make items and find out as much as possible to sell on Etsy.

End May the only thing left to do was to find a name for the shop. Now, name finding is not my talent, so it took a while. Eventually I came to the idea of treasure valley, translated to French that would be Vallon des Trésors. It sounded nice and it corresponds with the part of Marseille where we live, so I decided to stick with it!

~MATERIALS~

I prefer to work with high quality materials and therefor I am always searching for the best fabric and the most beautiful beads. Most of the fabric for the pillowcases is quilting fabric, I am a huge fan of quilting fabric because it is more elaborate in detail then fashion fabric. The artisan glass beads are all made by bead artists, every single one is unique in color and detail, as a artisan bead is like a snowflake, it never turns out exactly the same.

Welcome at Vallon de Trésors,

This a new shop opened at June 17th 2013.
Last Christmas I got the idea in my head about starting a little Etsy shop, it started out really small but soon it started to grow.
it grew fast! and the more I thought about it the more fun it seemed. making my crafts for other people to wear? I can't think of a bigger honor.

To start work on something, build its shape, add detail, it is great every single time.

Payment

Payment worldwide is possible via paypal. For people with a bank account in the Netherlands or France paying is also possible via bank transfer. Please contact me if you prefer to pay via bank transfer.

Shipping

You can find the shipping prices below the information of each item.
If it turns out you payed to much shipping costs I will refund the excess.
Packaging costs are included in the shipping price.

I ship priority, every package has to be signed for when it arrives.

Usually I ship between 1 and 3 business day's, I will personally inform you when it takes longer.

The shop owner is also not responsible for packages that where unclaimed.
If you are planning a holiday and you are afraid the item won't arrive in time we can set up another shipping date, but you will have to let me know that directly after you ordered.

The shop owner is not responsible for custom fees that might have to be payed, please be aware of the tax you might need to pay to import items in your country.
