This is what a typical epiphany cake looks like - with a tiny castle feve!

Frequently asked questions
Are Feves food safe
All the newer feves (1980 and newer) are food safe, by European Standards, which are stricter than US food safety laws.
Anything labeled as a "vintage" feve - is questionable. Many of these older feves were made by smaller bakeries or businesses and it is unknown if they used lead-free glaze. Even though the lead from a tiny feve would be miniscule, I would probably not bake with the vintage feves.
Sizing details
Feves are small! Designed to fit on a fork and be hidden inside a cake. Most feves are smaller than 1.5" (4cm). Please see the ruler in the photos for perspective and size.
Are these suitable for use in a doll house?
Absolutely - Many collectors use them for just that purpose. However this isn't what they were originally designed for, so please check the ruler and size carefully; some feves are better for 1/12 scale and others for 1/6 scale. If you do buy something only to discover that the scale is off, no worries - everything is returnable.
Caution - Choking Hazard
Two cautions:
1)These are small and definitely a choking hazard for small children. Not suitable for small children.
2) If you are introducing the King Cake tradition, and hiding a feve inside - make certain everyone knows there is a tiny, NOT TO BE EATEN treasure hidden inside. You don't want a guest to unknowingly chomp down on a feve or choke.
Can you adjust the custom declaration to show a lower cost?
No. This is a federal offense. Although I'd love your order, I won't break the law for it. The purchaser is responsible for the payment of all fees, duties and taxes.
If I mark the item as a "gift", shouldn't it show no cost on the customs forms?
No! You have paid me for the item, and that is the price I am required by law to put on the customs forms. I can include a gift receipt inside the package, but the cost of the item must be included on the customs documents. There is a lot of confusion about this, but the law is clear. Even if you have purchased the item as a gift for your cousin in Peru, the seller must put the purchased cost of that item on the documents.
How are the feves shipped?
The feves are placed in a ziploc bag, wrapped in tissue and shipped in a super sturdy box. Most orders come in white "Indestructo" double walled boxes that you can literally stand on! I have shipped over 75,000 orders and these boxes are awesome. My regular customers get excited when they recognize one of my boxes in their mailbox! Very large or retail orders will ship in heavy duty cardboard boxes.
Custom and personalized orders
Sorry, Feves are manufactured once a year and each design is only made for one epiphany season. So, it isn't possible to alter a design or make just one. If you are large bakery or retailer, the minimum quantity is 2500 pcs.
International Shipping Costs
Occasionally the shipping calculator for international shipping charges increases too rapidly. Unless you are buying 100s of feves, the shipping price will almost always be under $25. If you over pay by more than $2 over the actual shipping cost - I will refund you! If you want to confirm actual shipping costs before you place your order - feel free to send me an email asking for a shipping total ( please send me a list of what you intend to buy - I have no way to view what's in your cart)
International Customs, Duty and Taxes
As the buyer, you are responsible for paying any customs charges, duties or taxes on your package. I have no way of knowing what these amounts will be. If you refuse the package because of these charges, I will follow your countries laws regarding refunding you. But I will not ship to you again. As a small business owner, I simply can not afford to run a business like this.
