About

As it has been stated over and over I have been a craftsman for a better part of the last 25+ years.
The first ten in a nutshell include learning the trade from my father in Pennsylvania, a stint in Phoenix doing repairs for a small chain store, a quick jaunt to Santa Monica allowing me to get my G.I.A. certificate and then a trip back home for a bit.
In 1999 I decided it was time to sally forth once more and by the year 2000 found myself camping in Asheville wondering which end was up.
It took me a year but finally opened a small retail store and built a nice local following doing custom work, repairs and selling my goods.
In 2010 I moved my location to the heart of downtown Asheville and continue to spend my days making, repairing and designing jewelry.
I do all my jewelry work in the lower level (basement) of my gallery and am, for the most part, a one man show.
The designs you are seeing on Etsy are an attempt at a cleaner, simpler style that is affordable, durable and pretty.
I can only hope you find this to be the case.
I am excited to see where Etsy might take me. I have always grown as an artist through my customers. Their wants and needs have driven me towards new styles, techniques and in the end new looks.
If history holds true I have just opened myself up to a world of customers and new ideas.
I cannot wait to see what comes of it!

Shop members

  • Chris Van Dyke

    Owner, Designer, Photographer

Chris is the father of three rambunctious boys who, for all practical purposes, are shot out of a cannon every morning. Besides that he is also a craftsman who has been making jewelry for the last 25+ years.

  • Marilyn Gaun

    Assistant, Shipper

Marilyn is a jewelry professional who has been working in the trade for ohhhh, lets say, a bit longer than Chris has. She is also an irreplaceable asset to the Gallery and, bless her heart, laughs at almost every one of Chris' lame jokes.

Returns and exchanges
We will gladly accept refunds on any purchase as long as they are in the mail within 5 days of receipt. We need to receive the item in the exact same condition it left our shop.
Special orders do not fall within this policy. Each special order is made with the utmost care and an overabundance of information. Though the final product is up to your approval (I.E. That the order is what was offered and expected) any refunds would be at our discretion.
Payment
We accept all major credit cards, pay pal and money orders. Pay pal is the most expedient and will get your order out the quickest. If you live in North Carolina you will be subject to NC tax. If you are requesting a special order a deposit will be required. Refunds are subject to approval.
Shipping
Everything on our site are one of a kind, finished items ready to go. Barring unforeseen circumstances each item will go out either same day or next day. Sundays are the outlier. That is my one day off a week and have promised my boys that is the day we play. Sorry.

Additional policies and FAQs
We will gladly size any ring to whatever size you like as long as it does not affect the durability of the ring. Getting a correct size is the customers responsibility. Sizing can affect how quickly the ring is shipped though every effort will be made to keep you notified of shipping dates.
Please know that wider bands need to be considered differently when sizing. (They go on differently and unless that is considered when being sized will result in a poor fit)
