Thank you for visiting Vande-Craft Fine Ceramics. I have been creating quality ceramics from my in-home ceramic studio since 1986. I cast ALL my items from molds (some are vintage, some are one-of-a-kind). Everything is made entirely by me from the very beginning until it is finished.
I ship all my items FedEx and they do not deliver to P.O. Boxes. Please make sure you provide your actual street address when placing an order.

MAKING A HORSE PLAQUE- First I cast the item from a mold. This pic shows the plaque after opening the mold. -
Once the piece is completely dry, it is cleaned of all imperfections. The kiln is then fired which takes about 7 hrs. -
After the greenware is fired, I can open the kiln the next day. This is now called bisque and ready to glaze. -
This picture shows the bisque glazed and loaded in the kiln. It is now ready for the 2nd firing which take about 5 hrs. -
Here are the glazed items in the kiln the next day. Except for a cord to hang it, the horse plaque is done.
