5 out of 5 starsSo pleased with this purchase! My boyfriend requested a soap dish as a Christmas present this year (riveting I know) and so I wanted something a little bit special and I am not disappointed with this piece. The dish is beautiful, unique and well made. The way it came wrapped up was beautiful as well, especially appreciated as it’s a gift. I know he’s going to love it and so do I.

5 out of 5 starsHad my eye on Peace and Love wall plates and went for it! Excellent communication and delivery process, all received intact - well packed! I will be threading 3mm double sided red velvet ribbon through the holes finishing off with a bow and maybe looping real ivy closer to Christmas day round the fluted edge. Ideal for displaying Christmas mints after turkey dinner

VanillaKiln hand made porcelain jewellery and ceramics by Jude Winnall
Jude Winnall is a Llandudno based designer-maker specialising in porcelain jewellery and hand built ceramics. Her work has a calm, minimal aesthetic and spiritual themes. Jude was trained as a graphic designer and studied figurative sculpture for many years and this background influences the style and diversity of her collections.
Ceramics are usually produced in small batches with a 3 – 5 week turnaround. Most pieces are unique – being hand formed individually without using moulds. Jude has carefully chosen glazes that produce a sophisticated colour palette of pastels, greys, blues, aquas, pinks and creamy white tones.
Her innovative jewellery and ceramics are frequently featured in trend setting blogs and have been for sale online since 2010 – marketed under the VanillaKiln brand.
PORCELAIN AND THE CERAMIC PROCESS
Jude is self taught in porcelain paper clay techniques, cone 6 glaze and precious metal lustre applications. The cone 6 glazes and porcelain clay are fired in a kiln for nearly 24 hours where the temperature reaches 1220ºC. When lustre is applied an additional kiln firing is required. Opening the kiln is always exciting as the results can be unexpected – mainly due to the nature of the paper clay and glaze experiments.
Originally from China, porcelain is now manufactured by hundreds of companies around the world. It is well known for its white, translucent quality and is the main component of parian porcelain, china, fine china, English china and bone china. Bone china is whiter than most porcelain clays but contains animal bones from unknown sources. Jude does not use bone china and as such her ceramics are suitable for vegans. The porcelain she prefers is an Irish recipe, made in Stoke on Trent, England and is loved by sculptors because of its wonderful malleability and strength.

Royal Mail International Tracked, aim is usually 7 working days.
If your country is not listed please contact me for a shipping price. I deliver to countries that have tracking from the UK.
3) Shipping more than one item
Setting the shipping price for more than one item is not possible until I know the total value, weight and volume of the combined parcel. Please contact me if you would like a shipping quote. Alternatively please go ahead and order multiple goods and I will reimburse you for the excess postage costs when I have packed and weighed everything together. I will do everything I can to keep postage costs to a minimum.
4) Shipping delay, loss or damage policy
Delay, loss or damage during transit is out of my control.
DELAYED:
If your package does not arrive by the due delivery date you may be able to track its progress online. Details will be on your shipping notification. I'm sorry but there is nothing I can do about delayed items unless they are proven to be lost.
LOST:
Goods are considered lost:
UK: 14 working days after the due delivery date.
Europe: 20 working days after the due delivery date.
Outside Europe: 25 working days after the due delivery date.
Please contact me if you think your parcel has been lost in the post.
DAMAGED:
If your order arrives damaged please contact me asap including photos of your purchase and the packaging it arrived in.
5) Returns and refund policy
If you are not completely satisfied with the purchase of your item, please contact me within 14 days of receiving the goods, and return the unused item (including gift box if supplied) within 30 days of receiving the goods.
I recommend that you return the goods in the same packaging as supplied and use a service that includes insurance for loss. The parcel must be marked "FRAGILE" and you have to pay for the return delivery so please make sure you get proof of posting.
I reserve the right to withhold a refund for goods that get damaged on their return journey due to inadequate packaging.
6) Why the P&P costs are high
If you live outside the UK, airmail is more expensive than your domestic services. I'm sorry that postal charges keep increasing during the pandemic and withdrawal from the EU.
Royal Mail offers insurance for loss of ceramics in transit and their tracked services are more expensive.
Shipping costs are made up of bank fees plus Etsy commission – totalling 10%.
My ceramics are packed in a box with lots of padding to minimise the chance of breaking. And unfortunately larger, heavier parcels increase the packing and postal charges. Preparing ceramics for shipping is a careful process but with the right size box and protective filling, I'll ensure that your purchase leaves me securely wrapped in the most economical way possible.
7) Free shipping
I can not offer free shipping because it would inflate the prices of my products (illegally) which in turn means higher taxes and custom fees for customers outside of the UK.
