Announcement   My vases are not ceramic or glass. They are made from natural stone, semi-precious gemstones and minerals. My methods involve aspects of stone masonry, lapidary and mosaic. Each vase has a glass core to ensure that it is completely watertight and is heavy enough to support an ambitious display .There are cork pads added to the base to protect your furniture.
I also sell licences to people who would like to use my designs and methods. Licensees get a full, step by step, description of my production process from acquiring all the needed materials and tools to building and completing vases.

About

Earthy yet elegant functional art vases in natural stone

The vases I make are truly unique, not only in the sense that each is distinct, but also because I personally developed my approach and methods and was the first person using natural stone and gemstones in this way.
I am offering a detailed and illustrated description of my methods, including step by step instructions for manufacturing vases like mine. These instructions are available as part of a licencing agreement. Full details are available in my Design License Listing on Etsy.

I live and work on Saltspring Island. I've been an artist all my life. I had some modest success as a painter, but moved to design and functional art production. As my username suggests I make vases which I mainly sell in the local market.
