4 out of 5 starsThe gloves fit fine. They are as far from vintage as they are brand new and made in China. Hence the 4 stars. Wish this was advertised as such.
Sophie responded on Feb 8, 2023
Hi Michaela, thank you for your feedback! Pleased that that the gloves fit well and that they arrived safely. Please allow me to address your concerns - these gloves are 'dead-stock' vintage, meaning they are still of age, though have never been worn, so they would absolutely be like new. These gloves were indeed made in Shanghai, China, (exports have been made as far back as the 16th Century, not just in modern times, in this case C.1980s), so that shouldn't be an issue here. This information can be found in both the photographs (product label) and the listing description for these gloves. Please in future, make sure to read all of the given information prior to any online purchase, to help prevent any confusion and disappointment. All the best, Venelle

5 out of 5 starsI rarely by plated jewelry but the quality of craftsmanship and unique mosaic detail is a treasure to have. The length is perfect as well. I measured it around 24" so it falls just starting my bossom.

Sizing details
Please be sure to measure yourself with a fabric measuring tape and compare your measurements with garments of your own and the ones in the item listing before making a purchase. This is essential to getting a garment you'll love and enjoy wearing. Measurements are always approximate and are stated so on every listing.
If you have any questions regarding sizing or fit please feel free to contact us. We will be happy to send additional photos or answer any questions you may have.
Please note: any additional garments and/or accessories used in the photos e.g - shoes, jewellery, slips, petticoats etc...unless otherwise stated are NOT included.
Care instructions
Vintage garments are always that little bit more delicate than buying modern preloved or new clothing. Therefore, great care must be taken to keep your vintage purchase in tip top condition.
- Do not use any bleaching agents
- We strongly recommend that all items are washed by hand
- Some garments could benefit from dry cleaning also
Venelle accepts no responsibility or returns for damaged items from washing and/or laundering.
Additional information about BUYING VINTAGE
When purchasing vintage clothing please expect some natural wear due to the age of the item and from previous use - these items are all preloved, true vintage and are between 20-70 years old - possibly even older in some cases.
We make every effort to describe and photograph any noticeable flaws or defects that affect the appearance or function of an item. Age -related wear includes: pin holes, very small stains, colour fade etc...
Due to varying storage environments, some vintage items may benefit from laundering, or dry cleaning prior to use. Garments in the Venelle shop are all sold as seen.
It is difficult to capture the exact colours on camera, so in some cases they may differ very slightly to those shown in the photographs.
Additional information about POSTAGE & DELIVERY
Venelle Vintage is only a small business and that postage and packaging costs cover more than just the delivery charge. We do not profit from shipping fees, but aim to simply cover our costs.
Delivery costs cover faster shipping as standard, tracking, insurance, packaging materials and dispatch expenditures.
Orders are dispatched within 1-3 working days of cleared payment.
All items are packaged with care for a safe transit to your doorstep. Please expect to wait for up to 3 weeks for delivery as sometimes there can be postal disruptions beyond our control.
We do photograph the packaging process and item condition prior to dispatch in order to prevent false claims.
Additional information about RETURNS
The item must be returned with its tag attached / unopened packet, unworn and in as sent condition in order for a refund.
We do not accept returns for jewellery for hygiene reasons unless damaged in transit. International remorse returns are not accepted.
If an item returns to us as unclaimed, or the address is incorrect, the buyer must cover any additional postage costs if they wish the item to be sent back to them. Otherwise the item amount will be refunded, excluding the original postage and packaging cost.
If your item arrives damaged, please contact me within 14days, with photos of the evident damage, which I can then forward onto the courier. Claims with the courier can take up to 4 working weeks (from the claim date) to process.
Do you provide custom orders, made to measure items or allow items to be reserved?
At Venelle Vintage, we do not make any of the clothing or accessories we sell. Purchases cannot be made to measure or customised. Everything we sell is either authentic vintage or antique, and therefore rare or one of a kind. The ages given of the items we sell are always an estimate, please judge for yourself from the description and photographs provided in the listing.
We do allow items to be reserved for a period of up to 48hours from the reserve date. To reserve an item, please get in contact.
Items that have UK and/or International FREE DELIVERY
Free delivery only covers standard postage (UK 3-5 working days, international 5-7 working days). This does not cover express 1-2 working day postage costs.
Any express delivery option costs extra and is available at checkout.
No refunds will be given for mistaken postage options chosen unless cancelled prior to the item's dispatch. To cancel an order prior to dispatch, please contact us.
RECYCLING PACKAGING
We try to re-use packaging as much as possible. Some will have evidence of its previous use such as: other branding, old stamps, writing or covered labels. Any new packaging we use is recyclable (depending on your country). Any plastics we use are also recyclable via 'soft plastic' recycling bins here in the UK. (again may differ in other countries). We comply with Germany's LUCID packaging register.
CARING FOR BRASS JEWELLERY
Getting brass wet and/or exposing it to oils, lotions and sweat may tarnish it quicker.
To clean brass, try a mixture of lemon juice, baking powder, and water. Grab a small amount with an old toothbrush and gently go over your brass jewellery. You may also use brass cleaner, followed by a polishing cloth to make it shine if it does not have any stones or gems.
Depending on your body chemistry, brass may leave a green tint behind on the skin. You can seal your jewellery (where it contacts your skin) with clear nail polish or dedicated professional jewellery sealant to prevent this from happening. Reapply as needed.
