Welcome to our virtual shop! Kay and Allison are a mother-daughter team who design original quilt designs, aim to write outstanding instructions and, above all, we love making quilts! We opened this shop to sell digital patterns and some of our quilts. You can learn more about us at www.VermontQuiltDesign.com.
Digital Patterns: If you visited our website, you saw we no longer sell paper patterns on the website. We moved everything to Etsy, which is easier for everyone! If you buy a pattern and have ANY questions at all, please contact us - we are VERY serious about writing quality instructions that people understand and we want everyone to finish their quilts! We always love to see pictures of completed quilts (or quilt tops) and you can post them on our VQD Facebook group for everyone to enjoy. Post-COVID, we are adding QR codes as a way to sell digitally at quilt shows.
Quilt shop owners: If you are interested in stocking our patterns in your shop, please contact us.
Homemade Quilts: Some of the quilts are made from our designs and others are quilts we've made from other patterns. All the quilts are brand new, made from the best quilting cotton, precisely pieced and personally machine quilted by Kay.

Kay has been quilting since 1994, when she started a longarm quilting business. She started teaching in 1999 and designing original patterns in 2000. She is very passionate about writing excellent instructions to making quilting enjoyable for people

Allison
Owner, Designer, Computer Stuff
Allison took up quilting in 2003 and immediately started designing her own quilts. She and Kay do their best designing when they work together. She works on marketing projects, runs the website and handles final production of all digital products.
