5 out of 5 starsI love this spoon-so smooth and so well made ana much sturdier that the one I'm replaceing that I've had for years. I noticed it has a crack starting in it so I searched ETSY for a long handled, small spoon and found the Vermont Spoon site and placed the order.

5 out of 5 starsReally fantastic products, and incredible support as well. First spoon I purchased as a gift ended up not being the right size for what we wanted, the shop was incredibly responsive and not only accepted a return but made a new cycle of spoons matching what we needed. Got the new spoon and it's perfect!! So excited!

Wooden spoons and kitchen utensils from our hands to yours. Made one at a time from local hardwoods.
Who we are:
Vermont Spoon is a collaboration between husband and wife Jeff and Ellen Falsgraf. Over the past 40 years, Jeff and Ellen have combined their talents of fine arts, photo-styling, baking, design and wood carving in numerous projects.
Why we make spoons:
As a chef and food stylist, Ellen saw a need for functional as well as beautiful cooking tools. So, together Jeff, an artist and museum designer, and I decided to make wooden spoons together in 2015.
Why you'll want to cook with our spoons:
The look and feel of our wooden spoons make for a joyful experience when using them. They are designed with an artist’s eye and a chef’s touch and are made with the best possible craftsmanship. We think wooden spoons should be part of your most treasured kitchen and cooking memories. The quality of our spoons can assure for use with generations to come. We are sure you will love your spoon just as much as we love to make them!
The finish and care of our spoons:
The spoons are sealed with food-safe flaxseed oil for a beautiful finish. They are easy to care for and a non-stick solution to today’s overuse of plastic. Just hand wash with mild soap and water and dry with a soft cloth.
The wood:
We have access to some amazing trees here in Vermont. We use locally sourced cherry, walnut, maple, and birch hardwoods. We use these in all of our designs. It’s hard to pick a favorite!
Cherry: Richly grained honey-colored wood. Cherry usually deepens over time, creating a richer hue. Some darker sap lines may be visible.
Walnut: Chocolate-colored wood. Some grain can be visible.
Ambrosia Maple: Grain patterns in wood caused by abnormal growing conditions, also called figured maple allows for contrasting shades of light and dark.
Birch: Light to reddish-brown colored wood. With a curly or wavy uniform grain.
