5 out of 5 starsI have a really bad tendency to feel very cheated when I buy something and it’s not 100% beautiful and perfect. This is why I hardly buy from small businesses if they’re not guaranteed to look good everytime. Needless to say I was very scared to spend so much on a wooden spoon that could look like anything. I didn’t let go of this spoon for an hour after getting it!!!!! It’s beautiful! It’s so smooth you could massage a brand new born baby with it! The handle is adorably unique and the spoon is wide enough like standard wooden spoons. I am in love!! Worth every single penny! Not one defect in the wood it almost doesn’t seem real! This can’t be wood 😂 I am so blessed the seller sent me a good one no random spots no chips just a pure solid finish. I can’t say enough about this spoon. Everyone should buy from this seller.

5 out of 5 starsI’ve never been so hype for a spoon. I bought it for my sourdough and it’s perfect. It’s tall and skinny and strong and beautifully made. I may buy 100 more.

5 out of 5 starsThis is a beautiful handmade item. The quality is superb.
I ordered this item for my hubby who was using my long kitchen knives to stir his coffee in his tall traveling coffee mug.
I decided he needed something better. This was perfect! The spoon is tall so it easy to stir the coffee in his tall coffee mug.
He can even measure out the sugar with it before stirring. It's a win win. I like the fact it's made in the USA.
The spoon came beautifully packaged and they even included a free note to the recipient.
Some may say the price is to much and I could have gotten something less expensive. That could be true, however I appreciate the work of handmade and not mass produced. The work that went into this item was worth every penny I paid. It's a great product!! -

Who we are:
Vermont Spoon is a collaboration between husband and wife Jeff and Ellen Falsgraf. Over the past 40 years, Jeff and Ellen have combined their talents of fine arts, photo-styling, baking, design and wood carving in numerous projects.
Why we make spoons:
As a chef and food stylist, Ellen saw a need for functional as well as beautiful cooking tools. So, together Jeff, an artist and museum designer, and I decided to make wooden spoons together in 2015.
Why you'll want to cook with our spoons:
The look and feel of our wooden spoons make for a joyful experience when using them. They are designed with an artist’s eye and a chef’s touch and are made with the best possible craftsmanship. We think wooden spoons should be part of your most treasured kitchen and cooking memories. The quality of our spoons can assure for use with generations to come. We are sure you will love your spoon just as much as we love to make them!
The finish and care of our spoons:
The spoons are sealed with food-safe flaxseed oil for a beautiful finish. They are easy to care for and a non-stick solution to today’s overuse of plastic. Just hand wash with mild soap and water and dry with a soft cloth.
The wood:
We have access to some amazing trees here in Vermont. We use locally sourced cherry, walnut, maple, and birch hardwoods. We use these in all of our designs. It’s hard to pick a favorite!
Cherry: Richly grained honey-colored wood. Cherry usually deepens over time, creating a richer hue. Some darker sap lines may be visible.
Walnut: Chocolate-colored wood. Some grain can be visible.
Ambrosia Maple: Grain patterns in wood caused by abnormal growing conditions, also called figured maple allows for contrasting shades of light and dark.
Birch: Light to reddish-brown colored wood. With a curly or wavy uniform grain.
